I am a bright and highly motivated individual with a passion and proven track
record in sales, marketing and business development that includes event
management. I am proud of my achievements to date and have worked hard to
develop upon the experience I have gained. I would consider myself all-rounded
and have the skills and ability to adapt to new challenges whilst remaining
focused and determined - something which I pride myself on. I have a genuine
interest in people and am likable; which I think are two of my greatest strengths
when it comes to succeeding in sales and marketing.
Key Achievements
 Three promotions within Pumpkin Media having significantly increased
turnover and built a sales team from 3 to 18 employees.
 Started a business networking / events business which was sold to and
merged with a national events company.
 Organised a book signing event with Marco Pierre White for a local Cancer
Hospice through my own company - Signature Networking.
 Introduced a successful local initiative - Love Your Town Rewards -
encouraging the public to spend locally again at independents in Somerset.

events I have organised and initiatives I have been directly responsible for.

Pumpkin Media - Key Responsibilities and Achievements
Working for a large website design company my duties included sourcing new
business, closing new sales and being responsible for the account management
of clients obtained. The role was highly target driven focusing on B2B sales and
after-care support and the requirement to be thorough and have high levels of
attention to detail was imperative in this role. I was promoted three times within
the company and managed a team of 18 staff which included training the
telesales team and managing the field sales executives. I won approximately
300 new clients for the business and was involved with the integration of new
markets for the company to move forward. The company was sold in 2009 and I
have since been involved with further business development projects on a self-
employed basis with the new owners.
Signature Networking and Events - Key Responsibilities and Achievements
Signature Networking was an idea I set up from scratch to assist local companies
generate more business from one another in an original and fresh format. From
researching what a majority of senior decision-makers disliked regarding
stereotypical networking I formed a successful group that worked - encouraging
businesses that were previously put off by these types of event they had
attended before. The groups became so popular I begun introducing breakfast
events to compliment the lunches and my client base grew in considerable size
from a dozen to 40 plus businesses per event in a matter of months. I was
approached by a much larger and established networking company and sold my
business to them. I was responsible for every aspect of bringing this project to
fruition and my capability to achieve this ultimately resulted into a commodity that
I was able to sell.
Other Achievements
On a self-employed basis I have provided sales support for local businesses
which has predominantly focused around both lead generation and closing. I
have also set up an initiative Love Your Town Rewards which has encouraged
people to spend money locally again and at independents - this is something I
am particularly proud of having gained 90 new clients in under 4 months and
helping support the local economy.
In my spare time I am passionate about mountain biking and cooking and also
have a keen interest in motor sport. I enjoy life, think of myself as a positive
person and believe I can make a valuable contribution.
