Home of the Pioneers
Dear McGary Parents, Guardians and Friends,
Hello Pioneer Families!
We are excited to continue a new program at McGary Middle School!
We call it, Welcome Home; a program we hope helps you, our families
feel just that, at home. A teacher or staff member may call your
home or cell to schedule a time when you can meet and have a brief
conversation focused simply on getting to know you and your child
better, as we believe you know your child best. Though we are plan-
ning to chat with several families, we may not be able to reach eve-
ryone. Meeting locations are also flexible. Possibilities include local
libraries, churches, community centers, nearby parks, restaurants,
or even your home if that is best for you. The purpose of Welcome
Home is to get to know our Pioneers better so that we may engage
them in learning and meet their needs as students and young people.
We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to meet with
your childs teachers, but please know that the program is voluntary
and not required. Thank you for considering a meet and greet and
regardless; Welcome Home to McGary!
