2. In order to create our brand image we researched a number of different bands ideas which were similar to ours. A very influential band logo was that of The Libertines, who are recognised by their Union Jack logo, connoting the bands patriotic routes, which the band use throughout their products. Their individual font helps to stress their rough and ready image. This was the logo that inspired most as we also wanted to the brand image of our band to be patriotic and rebellious. Also the band Rolling Stones are highly recognised through their lips and tongue logo which helps the band to be recognised worldwide. Another example is the logo used by The Who, who also use patriotic colours in order to show the patriotic routes of their band and appeal to their audience.

5. When filming out music video we tried to concentrate on props on mise en scene in order to emphasise our brand image of youth and rebellion. By using taboo props such as cigarettes and alcohol we were able to successfully portray this rebellious image. The setting we choose of a bar/club and the storyline of a night out was used deliberately in order to show this youthful image and allowed the audience to relate with our video. The use of natural lighting also cohered with the grungy look of the indie genre If i was to choose a record label that a band belonged to i would choose, Rough Trade Records, as this conglomerate is an independent British label. Many bands signed to this label are very similar to Torrents such as the Strokes and The Libertines. I think our band would most likely sign to this kind on label because they offer individual music, such as in what the lyrics are about and the ideologies of their music, usually be yourself, and love. The music also associates itself with the audience it is aimed at, working class, talking about the situation in Britain today.
