4. Booneville is definitely shaped around the college. We would not be near as big as we are if we did not have Northeast Mississippi Community College.
5. Booneville has their own television station, known as TV53. It broadcasts as part of the UBN network. It has been here for over 20 years.
6. Booneville has a Baptist Memorial Hospital which includes many doctors offices, an emergency room, and hospital rooms.

8. The Prentiss County Chancery Clerk’s office is located inside the newly remodeled building. This building served for many years as the Booneville Post Office. Congressman Travis Childers served as Chancery Clerk in Prentiss County for many years before being elected to Congress.
9. This is the Prentiss County Courthouse. Many things go on inside this building! Some of these things are Chancery and Circuit Court, Youth Court, and Prentiss County School Board meetings. In 2004-2005, the courthouse was completely renovated and restored to its original design.There are three offices in this building also. They are the Prentiss County Circuit Clerk, Prentiss County Tax Assessor, and the Prentiss County Tax Collector.
10. Prentiss County native and Vietnam War veteran, J.W. Jacobs was responsible for getting a Vietnam War era Huey helicopter to serve as a memorial for Prentiss County Vietnam War Veterans. It is located in front of the Courthouse. It has been put there since the renovation.

24. When Hunter Mayo was in the 6th grade at Hills Chapel School, he was killed in an automobile accident. I was in the 5th grade at Hills Chapel, and I remember how it turned that school upside down. Hunter was a great kid who would do anything to help other people.Hunter was a big athlete. He played baseball at the park since he was very young. They had a memorial service on the 9 and 10 year old baseball field. This is now the Hunter Mayo Memorial Field.
25. This is the Assisted Living Nursing Home founded by Travis Childers and Prentiss County attorney Joey Langston in the late 1990s.
26. This is Booneville’s first strip mall. As you can see, Zone Fitness, Shoe Show, Dollar Tree, Cato, Rent-A-Center, and Cash Corral are all located in this strip mall. This was built in 2008.
27. This is the Prentiss County Agri-Center. Some of the things that take place in here are bull riding, wrestling, tractor pulls, concerts, and antique shows.

31. This memorial is outside the Courthouse. It is all the Prentiss County soldiers that died in any war starting with WWII. It is separated by wars. This shows the Marines and Army sides. As you can see on the Marines side at the bottom is the one guy who died during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
