TJ Mavani of Leicestershire Police Licensing wanted to commission a film showing the real nightlife in Leicester and how the police professionally deal with problems while keeping the nightlife safe. The filmmakers proposed filming various locations on weekends with the police to ensure safety and success. After their first meeting, they discussed ideas and decided the film would have no narrative, instead being more like a technical police documentary similar to Road Wars.
