1. MER 2 Commercial Operations Director - MSD
As MER 2 Commercial Operations Director you become a member of the MER 2 Leadership Team
and report to the Senior Vice President MER 2. Your role is divided on three areas: Chief of staff
role, Strategic Change and Process Improvement and PRO/Operations lead. You support the
Senior Vice President with development of MER 2 Strategic Priorities, aligning to the Global and
EUCAN GHH strategy in order to enable a clear focus in the sub region. You support the
development of business update presentations working closely with MER LT 2 staff members, the
country MDs and leaders of key functions, i.e. finance, HR. Other key tasks are:
Coordinate review of overall operational performance through the management and
tracking of key performance indicators (scorecard, budget, 5 year plan)
Serve as primary point of contact for the planning and management of the regional
calendar Coordinate country visits/business reviews, and Quarterly MER 2 Leadership
Team meetings
Drive the design and realisation of transformational change and other business critical
initiatives, through excellent strategy execution and change management focus
Prioritise and coordinate portfolio of projects initiated by various functions and divisions
within the Sub Region, and ensure alignment as well as appropriate allocation and use of
resources
Establish the structure, governance, oversight and control necessary to manage key
regional initiatives in an integrated way
Benchmark and identify best practices to optimise results across the Region with support
from PRO network
Identify opportunities to simplify processes and activities
Qualification
You have some years working experience within experience in marketing/sales, finance and
strategy/business consulting. You can show experience from a senior leadership roles, ideally in a
corporate multinational environment preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. You are an
expert in power point and in building clear and impactful business presentations. Your educational
background is a Master's Degree in Business preferably combined with a MBA. As a person you
are strategic thinking and hold strong business acumen. You are motivated for results and have
excellent communication skills. Moreover you have the ability to operate in matrix environment
have great interpersonal and influencing skills and are an excellent collaborator and easy to get
along with. Las but not least you are customer-centric thinking and have good entrepreneurship
meaning that you are willing to take reasonable risks in order to improve business.
