The steam conditioning unit takes hot steam from a network and converts it into saturated steam for cloth production. It works by flowing hot steam through a water bath cooler, where a flow distributor converts it into bubbles that rise and cool in the water, becoming saturated. Level sensors ensure sufficient water is in the cooler. The resulting saturated steam then flows into the steamer.

1. Method of Steam Conditioning Unit
In the steam conditioning unit hot steam from the network is converted into the saturated steam needed
for the cloth.
The steam (1) flows as hot steam from the network via control valve (2) into the water bath cooler (3). The
software pressure controller (4) regulates the steam supply so that the pressure in the water bath cooler
corresponds to the set point pressure.
In the water bath cooler a flow distributor (5) is fitted, which converts the steam into bubbles. These
bubbles rise through the water bath, are cooled and become saturated with soft water. The required
saturated steam is achieved.
Two level sensors (7) ensure that there is always sufficient soft water in the water bath cooler. The
saturated steam now flows from the water bath cooler via the control valve (8) into the steamer.
