1) A compass is used to determine bearings to navigate from one point to another. The direction of travel arrow points towards the destination and the red end of the needle points to north.
2) To find a bearing on a map, place the compass on the map with the direction of travel arrow pointing towards the destination. Rotate the dial until the orienting lines align with the map gridlines and north is at the top. The bearing is read at the index line.

"IMemory is a critical factor in unlocking the potential performance of Compute engines such as GPUs, accelerators, and CPUs alike. Traditionally, memory has been tightly coupled to Compute via local DRAM channels, whether on board (e.g., DIMMs) or on package (e.g., HBM). In recent years, however, new models have emerged that use fabric-based solutions to transport memory transactions, across GPU and CPU topologies that span larger diameters. These approaches include memory disaggregation, pooling, and hybrid combinations of both. At present, three main fabric technologies lead the memory semantics path: NVLink, UALink, and CXL (with PCIe playing a lesser role). NVLink is proprietary to NVIDIA and primarily used for GPU-to-GPU connectivity. UALink and CXL, on the other hand, are open standards-based interconnects serving different parts of the GPU-CPU ecosystem.
