He attended the University of Minnesota and earned his graduate degree in physical therapy in 1996. His practice is located in a Victorian house in the Rochester historic district, and he and his wife make their home in another Victorian located about six blocks away. Both are members of the local Historic Preservation Society, and his wife has an active leadership role. Its just one small way of giving back to the community, he says. Successful small business, he explains, need the support of their communities, and that includes physical therapy offices and medical practices. It can be challenging to find enough time to be active in the historic society, he says, which is one of the things that led his wife to become so involved. That, and her excellent administrative skills. Being active in the community also extends to Michael Milness co-sponsorship, with a Rochester MN wine merchant, of a Little League baseball team, and in semi-annual food drives.
