Andrew Jackson Young Jr. was born in 1932 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Dillard University and Howard University, earning a B.S. in Biology. He also received a B.D. from Hartford Theological Seminary. Young had a distinguished career, serving as a U.S. Ambassador to the UN and Congressman. He worked closely with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the Civil Rights Movement. Young married Jean Childs Young and had three daughters and one son together before she passed away from cancer in 1994. He later remarried Carolyn McClain Young in 1996.

Goal
Andrew Youngs Goals were to become a dentist and follow in the
footsteps of his father. Instead he chose to go into ministry and
lead the people.
Challenges
Other than being a black man trying to make a living and live
and honest life in the Jim Crow era, Andrew Young didnt

Young, who was born June 7, 1954 and died from
cancer on September 16, 1994, he later married his
second wife, Carolyn McClain Young, in 1996.
