The Micromouse project involves designing an autonomous robot mouse that can navigate through an unknown maze to locate its center. Tondra De and Drew Hall from UNLV designed a micromouse that could complete the maze in under 45 seconds, winning first place at the IEEE Region 6 Southwestern Area Micromouse Competition. As an honors college project, they also researched the social implications of robotics. Their micromouse design and research led to multiple awards in engineering design and paper competitions.
