Microsoft Surface is a touchscreen tablet developed by Microsoft that combines the functionality of a tablet and PC. It comes in two models - the Surface RT which runs Windows RT and the Surface Pro which runs Windows 8 Pro. The Surface has a multi-touch screen that allows for natural gestures without the need for a mouse or keyboard. Introduction : Microsoft Surface combines Tablet and PC into a slim, powerful device,which offers desktop level performance in lightweight Tablet form-factor. A tablet PC is a wireless, portable personal computer with a touch screen interface. The tablet form factor is typically smaller than a notebook computer but larger than a smartphone. The most common type of tablet is the slate style, like Apple's iPad or Microsoft's Surface.
What is Microsoft Surface? ≒Microsoft Surface represents a fundamental change in the way we interact with digital content. With Surface, we can actually grab data with our hands, and move information between objects with natural gestures and touch. Surface features a 30-inch tabletop display whose unique abilities allow for several people to work independently or simultaneously. All without using a mouse or a keyboard.
MICROSOFT SURFACE MODELS: Microsoft designed two models of Surface Tablets. They are i. Surface for Windows RT Tablet ii. Surface for Windows8 Pro Tablet The Windows RT version will be released together with the Windows 8 operating system in October 2012. The Windows 8 Pro version is due to come 3 months later, may be it is released in January 2013.
