This document summarizes a physics investigatory project on measuring the viscosity of different engine oils. It finds that HP Milcy Turbo oil has the lowest viscosity, measured as 0.023698 kg/m3, and would be most suitable for a diesel car traveling to high altitudes where lower temperatures require less viscous oil. The project involved measuring the terminal velocity of a steel ball falling through samples of various oils using Stokes' Law calculations to determine each oil's viscosity coefficient. While all oils fell under the SAE 40 rating, HP Milcy Turbo was determined to flow most easily at cooler temperatures based on its dynamic viscosity.
This document describes various agricultural equipment products for farming turmeric. It includes tractor wheel cages that decrease load and improve traction for rice cultivation. It also lists several turmeric boiler models with capacities ranging from 2700 to 4000 liters, made from steel and wood, that can boil 1000-1500kg of turmeric per cycle. Additional products described are tractor water tanks holding 2000-8000 liters, electric and gearbox-powered turmeric polishers for removing dust and sediments, and polisher models powered by diesel engines or PTO belts. All products are designed for durability and efficient turmeric processing.
1. The document compares conventional tempering processes to high speed tempering using pyrolysis ovens. Trials were conducted on gears and rear axle shafts to demonstrate the benefits of high speed tempering.
2. The trials showed that high speed tempering significantly reduced tempering cycle times from 90 minutes to 40 minutes for gears and from 120 minutes to 30 minutes for induction hardened shafts. This reduction in cycle time leads to lower costs, reduced fuel consumption and carbon footprint.
3. Hardness tests also demonstrated that high speed tempering achieved equivalent hardness profiles and mechanical properties compared to conventional tempering, despite the much shorter cycle times.
This document discusses using oxy hydrogen gas as an alternative fuel in a two-stroke petrol engine. The experimental setup involved producing HHO gas through electrolysis and adding it to the engine's combustion chamber. Performance tests showed that using HHO gas resulted in lower brake specific fuel consumption and higher brake thermal efficiency compared to petrol or producer gas. The HHO gas module only required a 12V DC supply and allowed the engine to run with no major hardware modifications. In conclusion, HHO gas is a promising renewable and low-emission fuel that can potentially be blended with diesel or used in internal combustion engines.
The document discusses the functional attributes and utilization of borates in lubrication technology. It describes how boron additives such as boron nitride, boric acid esters, and borated amines can be used as anti-wear additives and friction modifiers in engine oils and automatic transmission fluids. Newer borate nanoparticle technologies have been developed that combine the benefits of existing boron additives with improved stability, friction reduction, and tolerance of water. These nanoparticles delivered using a synthetic ester carrier provide superior performance, enabling the formulation of water-based emulsion lubricants.
This document discusses nanolubrication technology using AR9300 complex nanoceramic friction modifier particles. It describes how the particles bond at the atomic level to metal surfaces, filling in imperfections and creating a new protective layer that is 5 times harder. This reduces friction coefficients and prevents wear even under extreme pressures where oil is squeezed out. Applications include engines, transmissions, gearboxes, and other equipment. Case studies show significant savings in fuel costs and reduced maintenance needs when using the technology to treat locomotives, construction equipment, and trucks.

3. Choose the lubricant SAE 10 and operating temperature of 55°C from the tables.
4. Calculate the bearing characteristic number K = (Viscosity x Speed) / Pressure. Check it exceeds the minimum value.
5. Choose a clearance ratio c/d from the table.
6. Calculate the coefficient of friction using the relation.
7.
Actress One would wear a bright floral dress to represent her innocent and youthful character. The dress allows her to move freely and draws attention to her sense of style. Actress Two wears all black to portray the darkness and evil of her character. Her scruffy black outfit is meant to show the troubles she has faced and will be worn throughout the trailer, including when she dies. Actress Three wears a basic dress in similar colors to Actress One to signify their relationship but lacks bright colors, possibly foreshadowing their fate.

SOLID ROCKET PROPULSION PPT ( SPACE SOLID ROCKET ).pptxAmarnathGhosh8
?
Rocket propulsion is a class of jet propulsion that produces thrust by ejecting burned propellant. The thrust is generated on the basis of Newton's third law of motion. Rocket propulsion systems can be broadly classified according to the type of energy source (chemical, solar, electric, or nuclear).
The piston in an engine converts chemical energy from fuel burning into mechanical energy. It transfers energy to the crankshaft via the connecting rod. The piston ring provides a seal between the piston and cylinder. Pistons must withstand high pressures and temperatures while being strong yet lightweight. They are typically made of aluminum alloys or cast iron. The design of a piston considers factors like strength, weight, sealing, heat dispersion, and tolerating thermal and mechanical stresses.
The document describes a new power plant design called the ANDY design. The ANDY design uses a rotary engine that can run on all fuel types including coal, lignite, oil and gas. The ANDY design produces 1/3 the emissions and uses 1/3 the fuel of a standard power plant to generate the same amount of electricity. It also generates carbon credits that can be sold, reducing the cost of the plant. The design allows existing power plants to be retrofitted with the new engine design for only $300,000, improving efficiency and reducing emissions and fuel consumption substantially.

Here are the potential effects of the given coal properties on the existing 700 MW unit in Malaysia:
1. Lower CV of 5000 kcal/kg will require more coal to be fired to generate the same power output. This will increase fuel costs. More coal will also increase flue gas volume handled by the air heaters and ID fan.
2. Higher moisture of 25% will increase the amount of water in the flue gases requiring larger flue gas handling equipment like ID fan. More energy will also be required to evaporate the moisture.
3. Higher ash content of 18% will generate more ash slagging surfaces of boiler and increase ash handling. May require more frequent boiler shutdowns for cleaning.

Its components include a working gas, displacer/power pistons, heat exchangers and a regenerator. Common configurations are the alpha, beta and gamma types. Applications include power generation, cooling and pumping. Advantages are high efficiency and fuel flexibility, while disadvantages include cost and sealing challenges.
The document discusses Stirling engines and thermoelectric generators. It covers their configurations, design considerations, materials used, parts, types, calculations, efficiency, and applications. Stirling engines can convert heat into mechanical work through the compression and expansion of air or other gases. Thermoelectric generators directly convert temperature differences into electric voltage. Both have advantages like reliability and using wasted heat but also disadvantages like low efficiency.
A Study of Consolidate Heat Energy Generated from Diesel and Biodiesel Fuel f...IRJET Journal
?
This document summarizes a study on the consolidated heat energy generated from diesel and biodiesel fuels in a four-stroke diesel engine. The study measured various heat energy outputs including the heat energy available from fuel burnt, heat energy equivalent to brake power output, heat lost to engine cooling water and exhaust gases, and unaccounted heat losses. Experimental testing was conducted on the engine using jatropha biodiesel blends and pure diesel. Test results show that while brake power outputs were similar between fuels, biodiesel blends had lower heat energy available from fuel and higher overall heat losses compared to pure diesel.

diesel (866 kg/m3)
? The difference in density causes the uneven mixing of the blend
and inaccurate observations.
8. Heat Exchanger
? To over come the difference in density the Jatropha oil is to be
heated such that the density comes near to that of the diesel
? To heat the oil the heat exchanger is used
