Editor's Notes

  • #7: SFC ran the first of what we hope to be a series of Scotland tertiary sector BI show and tell events on the afternoon of Friday 23 April. Over 100 attendees Our hope is to establish a tertiary sector BI community in Scotland where we can learn from developers in the sectors, and vice versa. On the day, there were five demos of BI tools: JISC will demonstrate a Tableau dashboard they have developed for HEFCW to monitor University performance in Wales against a suite of national measures Strathclyde and St. Andrews Universities will demonstrate Qlikview apps they have built for internal purposes at their respective institutions SFC will demonstrate the National Articulation Dashboard and College Outcome Agreement measures Qlikview app. Our hope is that we can take inspiration from what we see, and also learn more about end-to-end processes developed and the challenges faced by developers externally.
