The document discusses challenges with overcrowding in Mumbai local trains. - 4. P R O B L E M : C H A L L E N G E S : I M P A C T : inefficient operatioin and logistics comfortably delivering passengers to their locations it impacts every citizen in the world who travel through local trains everyday..
- 5. EXISTING SOLUTIONS 1) installation of maximum doors per compartment to have smooth flow to get down from train 2)using advanced design of interior to accomodate more number of passengers
- 6. time lag to get in and out of train is minimized and the capacity to accomodate passengers has been increased. may become dangerous as too many emergency escapes, doors are installed and the passengers close to the outlet may face safety issue if proper maintanance is not done pros cons

- 9. I M P R O V E M E N T S W H I C H C A N B E M A D E continuous chairs can be installed along the interiorior border of train where passenger sits on >90 degree chairs, occupying almost the same space as a standing passenger additionally creating extra space for the passengers who are standing.
- 11. BUT ONLY THE SITTING PORTION OF CHAIR ATTACHED TO THE INTERIOR BORDER NOT WITH THE SUPPORTING STAND AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE
- 12. NOT TO FORGET we would still be having hangers and supprting steel rods to provide stability for the passengers who are standing during their journey BUT THIS TIME NO-PUSHING YOUR FELLOW PASSENGERS
- 13. The solution has nothing to do with engineering, but does correlate with management and aesthetic from provided way of approach How is a design approach to the issue different or similar to approaching it from a management, technology, engineering, aesthetic aspect?
