When did the internet come about? The internet emerged frommilitary research at the height of the Cold War years (1947–1953). What is the importance of the internet in people's lives? The internet has brought benefits in the use of technologies with easy access to knowledge, in collaboration between people and organizations, in social inclusion, and in the creation of values.
