This document summarizes the fabrication and testing of a molded biocompatible and disposable PDMS/SU-8 inkjet dispenser. The device was fabricated through a low-cost process using biocompatible PDMS and SU-8 materials. Hydrophobic SU-8 micro-nozzles were designed to limit satellite droplet formation and allow controllable droplet generation rates from 2-1000 droplets per second with diameters ranging from 80-130 micrometers. Experimental results demonstrated successful printing of hydrogel structures and arbitrary patterns. The disposable design integrates with other PDMS microfluidic chips and has applications in multiple materials 3D printing, biochemical analysis, and cell-based assays.
