Complete stomach and digestive system
No skeleton; cavity gives shape; shell protects

Live everywhere!

“Foot” for moving/burrowing
Squid use jet propulsion (tentacles); VERY fast
Name means “soft bodied”

There are 3 types:

     Bivalves

     Gastropods

     Cephalopods
Have a nervous system
    Ganglia
    Nerve cords

Have an “open circulatory system”
    Blood is pumped
    to the spaces and
    diffuses through the
    cells
Many are used for food by man
