This document is a presentation on MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). It defines MOOCs as online courses with unlimited participation via the web that do not tend to offer academic credit. It discusses the origin of MOOCs in 2008 and their uses for worker training. It identifies two types of MOOCs: C-MOOCs which emphasize community learning and X-MOOCs which focus on scalability and individual learning. The presenter's field of interest is explored using MOOCs is athlete nutrition, sports development and sports science.
