WHAT IS MOOCS A massive open online course is an online course aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the web.
HISTORY OF MOOCS Emerged from the open educational resources movement (OER). The term MOOC was coined by Dave Cormier of university of Prince Edward Island Mooc build for word where information is everywhere It is just a one way of learning Way to connect and collaborate May teach thousand of student at the same time Encourage independed among learners.
TYPES OF MOOCS The XMOOCS The CMOOCS like edx offers honour certificate, identity documents and x series certificate Initially edx aim was to improve teaching and learning. focus on knowledge creation and generation Learners take a great role in shaping their learning experience
HOW MOOCS WORKS This is an online course aimed at unlimited participation It is an open access via website Provide interactive user fora Help build a community for students Teachers professors are also helped Emphasized open access features such as connectivism and open licensing One can use it anywhere and anytime
WHO MUST USE MOOCS The learner who want to improve his her learning area knowledge, teachers as well and in fact everyone who is interested in learning because we are al responsible to gain knowledge so that we can develop our mindset. One of the famous purpose of Education is to make people see things different.
MOOC INTERESTED IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT MOOC Because an organization or economic system where goods and services are exchanged for money purposes. Every business requires some form of investment and enough customers to whom its output can be sold on a consistent basis in order to make a profit. So I am specialising on Business management as the Major so I would like to know more so that I can improve my knowledge and understanding.
TOPICS INTERESTED IN Topics that I am much interested in are those topics which are interrelated with the business management like Economics, Accounting and EMS. The reason for that is because learning is crucial and knowledge needs to be acquired so enrolling on the course which will improve my learning as the teacher and be able to have enough knowledge about content and understanding!
