MĀORI MYTHS AND LEGENDS 
Pohatu Pod Students
WALT: To use our imagination and re-create Māori Myths and Legends 
through artwork. 
This group of Pohatu Pod students have been meeting twice a week during 
the ALPs programme to listen to Māori myths and legends and use our 
creativity and imagination to create our very own artwork that tells the stories 
of ‘Rangi and Papa’, ‘Maui and the Sun’ and other Māori stories.
