The Bird Characteristics slideshow features the most common bird characteristics including feathers, wings, lightweight skeleton, beaks, and the ability to lays eggs. There are other features mentioned, but these are the most common bird characteristics recognized by younger students. This is a great tool to use for elementary to middle school students. Be sure to download the graphic organizer that accompanies the slideshow and other bird unit study resources at The Homeschool Daily under Science units.
