This unit aims to teach students to describe animals, learn vocabulary about body parts and adjectives, discuss what animals have and can do, and use "must" for obligation. It focuses on giraffes and crocodiles, describing the giraffe's habitat of savannas and grasslands, its extremely long neck and legs, and diet of acacia leaves, and noting that crocodiles are carnivorous eaters of fish, reptiles, birds, and mammals that sometimes also eat mollusks and crustaceans.
