What do I need to before starting localization? ¡ñ Basic Knowledge in Object Oriented Programming(Java & Perl). ¡ñ Experience in Python to enhance Translation Tools Performance. ¡ñ Experience with an automated tool like Selenium.

How to get started with localization There are many ways or platforms that could be used to start localizing products/articles. Some of the widely used ways being : 1)Locamotion 2)Verbatim 3)Support Mozilla
Get started with locamotion:
Creating a Locamotion account
Login into your Locamotion account
Select your language (e.g.: Tamil)
Select Project (e.g.: Firefox 40 (Aurora))
Now Start Localization
Notes : ¡ñ Select a string which you want to localize and you'll be able to see it above the TextBox. There is an English string and then below that you have a blank textbox where you could enter your translation. ¡ñ Save Once you are done with the translation click on suggest. And continue translating the other strings. ¡ñ Follow the Comments which specified right to English string ¡ñ Don¡¯t Translate TradeMarks, Brand Names...
Get started with Verbatim:
Creating a Locamotion account
Login into your Verbatim account
Select your language (e.g.: Tamil)
Select Project (e.g.: Firefox Hello)
Now Start Localization
Notes : ¡ñ Select a string which you want to localize and you'll be able to see it above the TextBox. There is an English string and then below that you have a blank textbox where you could enter your translation. ¡ñ Save Once you are done with the translation click on suggest. And continue translating the other strings. ¡ñ Follow the Comments which specified right to English string ¡ñ Don¡¯t Translate TradeMarks, Brand Names¡­ e.g. Firefox, Firefox Hello, Marketplace, Nightly, Mozilla, ...
