Spinal congenital anomalies and postoperative discopathy can be identified on MR imaging showing contrast enhancement and scar tissue formation. Tuberculosis of the spine, or Pott's disease, demonstrates prominent bone destruction and often involves multiple vertebral bodies, causing a hunched back deformity. Spinal injuries appear as vertebral fractures that compress the spinal cord or as Chance fractures putting pressure on the spinal cord.
