This document discusses the work of the Middlebury Social Impact Corps (MSIC) 2019 cohort in Monterey County, California. The MSIC students are assisting Impact Monterey County (IMC), a nonprofit collaborative, in reassessing community needs through surveys, interviews, and events. In 2015, IMC identified health, education, safety, and economic self-sufficiency as top priorities. The MSIC team's goal is to determine if these priority areas have changed and help develop a new strategic plan. They have conducted outreach, surveys, and public comments to engage over 500 community members in the assessment process so far.
