MISSION
MTT-S recognizes the roles and responsibilities that we have
outside our professional lives. We are all residents / citizens
of the town or city that we live in, and of the country that
we live in.. As an international organization, it is our duty to
be part of the solution by working together with others in
multi-disciplinary teams to achieve results that we ourselves
cannot do alone. MTT-S SIGHT focuses to motivate high
school students, young engineers and professionals, to
applying the low cost innovative microwave technology for
disaster readiness, and humanitarian need

MTT SIGHT 2015 ACTIVIES
Future plans
1) Inspire and motivate students and practitioners to
make a difference in solving chronic problems
including the food crisis, the water crisis, the
communications / information access crisis and power
/ lighting.
2) Applications Focus: Disaster Monitoring & Relief,
Dissemination of Warning, Healthcare Monitoring,
Telemedicine, Hazards Monitoring and Alert,
Environmental Monitoring, etc.
3) Education Focus: Student Competition to apply
microwave/wireless technology to Healthcare
monitoring and/or delivery of Internet services.
4) Conference Focus: Technical Session or Workshop on
Wireless Sensor Networks for First Responders/Disaster
Relief.
5) MGA Focus: Leverage Local Chapters for membership
growth activities, collaboration, networking,
interactions with local university, institutes, government
agencies to deliver technical talks by MTT-S SIGHT
project leaders.
 Participate in an extensive, interactive, vibrant, and
innovative technical discussion geared for humanitarian
needs.
 Learn from world-class knowledgeable scientists,
engineers, academician, and practitioners working in
the field.
 Exchange information, share experiences and network
with actively involved attendees and volunteers.
 Gain visibility and recognition for your humanitarian
work and projects.
 Find new resources, ideas, and potential humanitarian
and emergency management practitioners in order to
learn from their successes and better guide future
research activity.
1) Establishment of MTT-S SIGHT
 IEEE SIGHT Approves MTT-S SIGHT.
 R1 and R10 MTT-S SIGHT Chapters formed.
2) MTT-S SIGHT Outreach (2014-2015)
 SIGHT outreach meeting held at 2014 IMaRC (Bangalore)
with active local content.
 Coordination with 24 IEEE SIGHT Chapters in India is in
progress.
 ID/participation of local students to uW projects through
2015 IMaRC competition in planning stage.
3) Student engagement in Hyderabad
 SIGHT Panel Session.
 SIGHT Design Competition.
 SIGHT AMATEUER RADIO/HAM RADIO Training/Demo.
4) Global Humanitarian Technology Conference
 Technical Co-sponsor of GHTC 2015.
 MTT-SIGHT booth.
 MTT-S SIGHT presentation/paper.
 Network/planning with other SIGHT groups.
