ACADEMIC PROJECTS • In-House Summer Training Six Legged Kinematic Walker - In this project Six Leg Kinematic movement works on Grashof's principle which states that the sum of the length of the shortest and longest links must be less than or equal to the some of the other two links. Four bar linkage are the closed loop kinematic linkage, they perform a wide variety of motions with a few simple parts. This project discusses the design & fabrication of one such mechanism (Four Bar Mechanism) • Summer Industrial Training National Thermal Power Corporation - Badarpur Thermal Power Station, New Delhi [16th June 2014 to 12th July 2014] As a trainee I was assigned to visit and see the working of various division of the plant, which were: a. Boiler Maintenance Department (BMD I/II) b. Plant Auxiliary Maintenance (PAM) c. Turbine Maintenance Department (TAM) The specification and principles are as learned by me from the employees of each division of BTPS. • Minor Project Cost effective Solar Air Heater - Solar hot air heater heats air in a flat plate collector. Hot air flat plate collectors work just like our closed car in the sunlight. Fans circulate air through ducts into the solar air collector where the air is warmed and then circulated via ducts back into the home’s interior spaces. • Major Project Six Legged Kinematic Walker – This is the modified version of the Six Legged Kinematic Walker made during In-House Summer Training. This walker can now move in any direction on the ground. Equipped with a series of 6 servo motors on its legs, it can drive through plane surface at high speed and also crawl at uneven surfaces with more stability.
