Project Title: Mutual Aim Village.
Country: Chad.
Region: South West (Outskirts of capital.)
Project overview and
summary.
Mutual Aim is looking to build a transitional village in Chad to support underrepresented
locals and people displaced into Chad from other countries. This village will seek to support
these beneficiaries and encourage transition back into everyday society.
In addition, Mutual Aim will be looking to purchase properties outside of the village that can
be used to start small businesses for all our beneficiaries - local Chadians and other
displaced people.
Project rationale: Chad is central to several countries currently experiencing severe emergencies that are
creating alarming numbers of externally displaced individuals, families, and communities.
With many of these displaced people seeking refuge in Chad, we recognize that there is a
great need for humanitarian support.
As many people have fled from their homes and countries with nothing but the clothes on
their backs, systems must be put in place to assist them back into everyday life.
In the mission to accomplish this, Mutual Aim seeks to build a place of transition, providing
amenities that are most essential to humanity - food, water, education, community, and
shelter.
The buildings we purchase outside of the village will go towards starting small businesses
for the people we cater to, using this as a means to encourage self-sustenance.
Beneficiaries: Displaced families and individuals, refugees from neighboring countries, and
underserved/unemployed locals.
Goal: Rehabilitation and support systems for individuals without aid, security, or other basic
amenities.
5
Anticipated benefits: This project is intended to provide a stable and secure environment for those who have been
displaced from their communities, while simultaneously supplying food, water, and other
basic amenities to neighboring communities that are currently underserved.
The Mutual Aim village will aim to transition individuals and families who have lost the
presence and support of their communities, along with their sense of independence.
The village, as already described, will be a place of transition and rehabilitation, providing all
that is necessary to encourage the autonomy of everyone served.
- The village will be a place for children to be fed, educated, and protected.
- It will be a place for displaced workers to be employed and live rent-free.
- The village will serve as a support system for local Chadians who are seeking
employment or somewhere to send their children during the day, not having to
worry about their daily meals, their safety, and any potential school fees.
- The villages medical center will focus on serving its occupants, displaced people in
the immediate area, and local Chadians who are also in need of medical assistance.
Our goal is to be a part of the rebuilding of Africa, and a project such as this will be a great
stepping stone to accomplishing that.
Key success factors. Some factors determining the success of this project will include:
- Consistent supply of crops, poultry, and water to neighboring communities and local
organizations across Africa.
- Effective schooling for local and displaced children and youth (formal and vocational
learning.)
- A safe environment for local and displaced children that provides them with daily
meals, medical support, education, and other necessities to thrive.
- Reliable medical assistance for injured and infected victims of war and other forms
of conflict, not excluding people in need of such support as a result of impoverished
6
circumstances.
- Ability to provide income to staff to encourage future autonomy.
- Community setting that encourages beneficiaries to re-adapt into everyday society.
- Proper and deliberate care of onsite staff in the duration of their on-campus stay.
Implementation. - Mutual Aim will hire local and displaced farmers to plant and harvest crops and tend
poultry. Food and livestock will be loaded onto our trucks and then delivered to
beneficiaries.
- Water dispensing systems like wells, tanks, and taps will be built for neighboring
communities that are in need of water. Water will be delivered to the communities
with tanks on a basis of need, along with food.
- Local and displaced medical professionals will be hired to provide
primary/immediate medical care to locals and displaced individuals at our medical
center. Other members of our medical team will be volunteers brought into the
country from around the world.
- Local and displaced teachers and vocational instructors will be hired to educate
displaced and local children, along with other volunteers who will be brought in
from outside the country.
- Local and displaced cooks will be hired to cook for and feed the school children,
staff, and displaced individuals in the immediate vicinity.
- Staff housing will be provided for displaced members of our staff.

Project Breakdown.
With little to no humanitarian aid provided to the country, our organization has set out to carry out our
largest humanitarian effort in Chad. The Mutual Aim village (M.A.V) is projected to provide many
necessities to local Chadians and their displaced neighbors. We aim to make available social services that
include but are not limited to, food, water, shelter, education, and employment through the means that are
depicted below.
Project Mission Statement.
The Mutual Aim village Chad (MAV Chad) is a transitional village that aims to provide long-term,
sustainable change to the refugees and underserved citizens of Chad. MAV Chad is projected to provide all
the basic essentials to our staff, displacement camps, and neighboring communities while equipping them
with the necessary resources to be autonomous.
Mutual Aim believes in taking action that lasts beyond the now, and we have dedicated time to carefully
curate a place where our beneficiaries are prepared for a prosperous future. Whether it is through
providing formal education, vocational training, building a competent library, funding small businesses, or
creating employment within the premises of the village, Mutual Aim strives to be instrumental in the
restoration of Africa.
9
Building Purposes.
Farms.
Our farms are projected to feed over 15,000 people across the Mutual Aim Village, select displacement
camps, and local Chadians. Not only will this provide relief to those who do not have access to food, it will
be a source of support to grassroots organizations within the country that have already been doing the
diligent work of assisting vulnerable people in need. Our trucks will send out food during harvest seasons
to kitchens built to serve the displacement camps, assisting them in effectively attending to those they are
responsible for.
Additionally, our farms will create employment for locals and displaced individuals. In order to efficiently
manage farmlands of such magnitude, we will employ farmers from the neighboring communities and
displacement camps in exchange for paid wages. By doing so, we hope not only to build rapport with those
in our immediate communities but to help them in ways that matter.
In addition to the food that will be provided by our farms, our team hopes to transport food from
neighboring Nigeria and Cameroon as there can never be too much aid. Seeing as the climates in both
neighboring countries are different from that of Chads, we concluded that the importation of a variety of
fruits, vegetables, and other categories of food may further our endeavors of providing high-nutritious
meals to those we serve.
10
Barn and Grazing Field.
Our barn will be used to raise livestock, with which we will feed the people we serve. We aim to serve our
beneficiaries balanced diets, including vegetables, fruits, nuts, carbohydrates, proteins, and much more. A
list of produce we hope to obtain from this barn is as follows:
 Beef.
 Chicken.
 Fish.
 Eggs.
 Milk.
We will derive further products from our milk, sending batches to refineries to process them for longevity.
From our milk, we will derive cheese, yogurt, butter, and powdered milk to add to our peoples diets. Fruits
from our farms will also be sent to refineries to be processed into jams and dehydrated fruit jerky for the
children.
Our grazing field will be used to let out the animals so that they can be fed by their caretakers.
Undoubtedly, the barn will provide additional employment opportunities to those in need of work.
Warehouses, Wells, and Truck Parking.
Our warehouses will be used not only to store food, but they will also be used in holding equipment that are
necessary to run the organization, additional supplies for the people living in the village, and donations
received by the organization. The sizes of our warehouses will demand exclusive workers to organize our
inventory and load trucks as needed. This will serve as another means of job opportunities.
11
Our operations in Chad will require multiple commercial trailers, school buses, and pickup trucks. The
truck parking area will be used to store such vehicles. Alongside the parking area, we hope to install a car
wash, not only for these vehicles but also for others on the Mutual Aim Campus.
We strive to uphold sustainability throughout this project, at each level. One of the ways we intend on
maintaining sustainability is through our wells that are projected to provide water to the village and
neighboring communities.
Kitchen and Dining Hall.
Our general kitchen is projected to feed at least 6,000 people two meals every day. Our beneficiaries will
include our tenants in the village, the students in the schools, local Chadians, and people in the
neighboring displacement camps. We hope to alleviate the pressure on other grassroots organizations that
are already in Chad, feeding the people.
The kitchen is also estimated to provide employment to at least 40 displaced individuals and local
Chadians. To efficiently serve our community, our kitchen must at all times be fully staffed and properly
equipped to the highest standards.
In light of fostering a spirit of excellence, we have crafted a lofty dinning haul that comfortably seats over
1500 students and staff for two meals a day. As we believe that a nutritious diet is the cornerstone of a
bright future.
Schools Buildings.
The Mutual Aim Schools (M.A.S.) will provide a rigorous education to our students. The schools have been
put in place to serve over 1,500 children ages 18 and under. Our curriculum will be curated to develop
12
long-lasting teaching strategies that are best to produce exceptional leaders of tomorrow. Alongside this,
our students will be encouraged to embody our core values of discipline, honesty, and diligence.
The organization aims to foster a positive environment of learning and recuperation for the children, as well
as everyone on the campus. Furthermore, the organization will be responsible for feeding our students at
least two meals a day while school is in session.
Based on our calculations, the schools will require over 100 teachers. This will serve as another means of
employment for locals and displaced people in the area. With competent salaries, we hope to assist
members of our communities into financial relief and stability.
Vocational School Buildings.
Mutual Aim seeks to provide long-term change where it sets its roots. We understand that at times, it is
not enough to feed people and provide water, we must also teach people the necessary skills to sustain
themselves, giving them autonomy over their lives; our vocational schools aim to do just that. Over 500
students will benefit from these trade schools every year, providing them with foundational skills that will
be useful to find employment in ever-changing industries.
Our beneficiaries will include students in their last year of school who are looking to transition into
university, the youth who have either completed university or do not have the means to attend university,
and adults who are interested in learning a trade to properly manage a business.
In the same way, these vocational schools will create employment for instructors who are well-versed in
the trades they teach to our students.
13
Hospital/Medical Center.
The Mutual Aim Hospital (M.A.H) is a state-of-the-art facility drenched in the modern era. Equipped with
230 beds, this hospital is estimated to accommodate several hundred patients simultaneously while
servicing thousands yearly. It is projected to be one of our biggest employers housing over 100 medical
professionals of whom will be of the displaced and local populations.
Our medical center is equipped with eight functional departments. This facility will service critical and
non-critical patients across the board, transferring high-risk cases to other hospitals via ambulances
relieving the overwhelmed local hospitals. Due to the incessant level of need, we will also be deploying our
medical staff to the displacement camps and local populations to aid on the ground.
Boarding School Buildings.
The Mutual Aim Boarding School (M.A.B.S.) embodies the African quote It takes a village to raise a child
It is an all-inclusive Co-ed facility for orphaned displaced and local children. We seek the permission and
help of the government to obtain guardianship of the children until they reach the age of maturity.
Providing them with their basic necessities and so much more until and after they've gone to university,
Mutual Aim strongly believes in the African tradition of community. We hope that through these
humanitarian acts, we will positively influence the lives of the children who've lost it all.
The boarding school buildings will consist of two buildings, one for the boys and one for the girls. Each will
have a total of 100 beds for our children, with guardians on every floor to watch after them. During their
stay at the village, they will have access to medical care, food, clothing, shelter, education, and other
necessities. Following their time at the village, we will continue to be responsible for them to the best of
our abilities.
14
Greenhouse.
The Mutual Aim Greenhouse (M.A.G) is the symbiotic mixture of the old and the new. While the Village is
entrenched in modernity we remain steadfast in our mission to uphold our African values. This project is
meant to cultivate and highlight our traditions through Herbology. We will be using this space to grow
indigenous plants and roots that supplement the body. The goal is to teach our children the lost art of
healing thyself through herbal remedies.
Staff Housing.
The Mutual Aim Staff Housing (M.A.S.H.) embodies the quote No one is insignificant, everyone has the
potential to make a difference. We have put our hearts into these homes. With apartment units able to
house over 100 staff and their families. The vision behind these units is to restore the dignity of the
displaced and local people. Having faced unfathomable horrors due to the conflicts in their regions. And
being forced to abandon all that they have ever known. We at Mutual believe in rooting for the underdog.
As no one is insignificant they just haven't been given a fighting chance. We hope that with these homes
our staff go on to improve their lives and subsequently the lives of others.
Pantry and Support Buildings.
The Mutual Aim Village (M.A.V) is designed to simulate everyday life, supporting our beneficiaries in ways
that aid transition back into society. Many of our beneficiaries are expected to be victims/survivors of
difficult circumstances, many of whom have lived as displaced refugees for years. To achieve success with
this project, we must create an environment that resembles that of which our people will one day rejoin.
The purpose of the pantry and the support building is to create a level of semblance to the regular
activities we all partake in, in our own personal lives; things that give meaning to our days. It may be going
15
to the store to retrieve food, clothes, or hygiene products, but such minor activities reinforce our
independence.
The pantry and support building will also provide additional work opportunities to our communities, as they
will need people to manage them and create that much-needed environment.
Main Building and Library.
As a foreign organization, it is paramount that we create a lasting presence in the country of Chad and
prove to its people that we are here long term. Chad will be acknowledged as another home for Mutual
Aim. To do so, we have included offices for members of our staff and executive team. This way, we can
work within the country as needed.
Books are the way of the future and have always been. The brightest minds of our generation and before
have credited books for their outstanding works. If the Mutual Aim School (M.A.S) is to provide the next
generation of the worlds top scholars, but must hold itself to the highest standards according to world
experts. To achieve this, there is a plan in place to install a fully equipped and highly competent library and
computer lab, as computers, too, are the future.
Open Air Stadium,
In the spirit of fostering community and instilling pivotal life lessons in our students. We decided to open
The Mutual Aim Stadium (M.A.O.S,) as we believe that certain life lessons are better taught on a field. This
facility will facilitate the exercise of our students while simultaneously instilling sportsmanship in
partnership with other schools.
16
Park.
The organization aims to foster and rebuild communities among those who have been displaced from their
former ones. In addressing the issues that plague the people we serve, we must acknowledge the vitality of
building or rebuilding community. In a place where everyone has responsibilities, we must make space for
neighbors to gather and create lasting bonds, a place for the children to be just that, and somewhere to
re-experience a life once had. The Mutual Aim ethical park seeks to make this a reality.
Mosque and Church.
Faith can move mountains We understand the plight that our villagers have had to carry due to
displacement and conflict. And we recognize that if not for faith Mutual Aim would not exist. So in the
spirit of hope. We included two religious buildings in hopes that our villagers would find the peace that
they've been so desperately in need of.

Residency Duration.
Members of our staff who have been displaced or who are refugees will be housed in the village so long as
we have accommodation. Residents will be permitted to live in the village with registered members of
their families for up to 5 years. After which they will be transitioned to general housing (a future phase of
the organizations project), granted that their completion of the program is satisfactory.
The follow-up: Once residents successfully complete the program and have been transitioned
into general housing, our research team will conduct follow-up checkups with them and their
families to determine how well they have transitioned into the next phase of the project. The 5
years spent in the village was the preparation for this phase and can be used to determine the
success of the village workers program.
Determining Success.
1. The success of this project will be determined by the number of individuals who complete the
program having saved the projected average amount in 5 years. During this five-year period, the
organization will be responsible for providing all basic necessities for our staff and their families,
including education for their children. With no financial responsibilities, we expect that the
average family/individual will save about 65% - 75% of their income, giving them a substantial
amount to support them in their new lives.
2. To further determine the success and usefulness of this project, our Chief Research Officer,
alongside professional psychologists will observe the children, youth, and adult residents to
determine how well they integrate into their new environment. In doing this, we hope to gauge
how individuals and families are thriving within their new communities and to find flaws in the
program so that we can further perfect the system and learn what was initially effective.
3. Graduation rates and quality will also be determining factors of the success of this project.
Students graduating and graduating well from primary, secondary, and vocational schooling will be
35
a testament that the schools are functional, competent and that our staff are diligent in their
professions.
4. It is projected that our farms will supply crops to different regions of the country and multiple
organizations within those regions. The organization must be able to deliver resources to these
places as at when due in order to determine the effectiveness of this project.
5. Our hospital is projected to serve an average of 15,000 people every month, while still sending
emergency first responders/life-saving first aid workers to nearby displacement camps. While our
medical staff work in the camps, they will be instructed to bring with them whoever needs
intensive care to see our physicians and other medical professionals. We will be responsible for
transporting these patients with our medical vehicles. The rate at which the hospital and our
on-site medical team attend to patients every year, making sure to provide quality support, will
help determine the success of this project.
6. Once residents successfully complete the program and have been transitioned into general
housing, our research team will conduct follow-up checkups with them and their families to
determine how well they transitioned into general housing, our research team will conduct
follow-up checkups with them and their families to determine how well they have transitioned into
the next phase of the project. The 5 years spent in the village was the preparation for this phase
and can be used to determine the success of the village workers program.
Conditions To Build.
For Mutual Aim to commence on the first stages of this project, there are several conditions that must be
met by the government of the Republic of Chad. These conditions are open to negotiation but ultimately
required for the organization to build in this country. They are as follows:
Mutual Aim Residents IDs: The organization requests an identification system for the residents of
the Mutual Aim village. These IDs should be recognizable and a valid form of authentication beyond the
villages walls. Mutual Aim residents should be able to present their IDs where necessary and should be
accepted as a valid form of identification.
36
Military Protection: The organization is requesting the provision of military protection from the
Chadian government for the Mutual Aim village for the initial checkpoint into the village and the perimeters
of the external wall. The organization will hire local security within the walls of the village but will need the
support of the military to guard the village externally and regulate the secured access for those coming
into and leaving the premises.
Property and Personnel Protection Assurance: The organization requires the assurance of
property protection from the government of the Republic of Chad as a condition for building this project in
the country. We request the assurance of the government that in the event of unforeseeable circumstances
or unrest, Mutual Aim properties and personnel will be protected as a matter of urgency.
Bank Access: For our staff to securely store their income without worry, they must have access to
banking where they can create their own secure accounts in their own names. These accounts must be
accessible as it is for every other legal resident of the country. This agreement must include that their
accounts will not be affected negatively even after they complete the program, regardless of whether or
not their completion is satisfactory.
Residency: Upon the completion of this program, our residents shall be granted full residency by the
Chadian government, so that they may own land and enjoy the many other benefits of being legal residents
of the country. Residency will include the children, the youth, the adults, and the elderly of the refugee
population within our community.
Citizenship for Orphans: It is the wish of the organization to be responsible for the orphans in our care
until they can go into the world on their own. This, for us, does not end at the age of 18. As these children
often no longer have anyone to be responsible for them, the organization shall be assuming parental
responsibility. In these cases, we ask that the children (or youth) be granted immediate citizenship upon
request by the organization. For the success of this project, we must provide a place with which the
orphans can identify.
37
Examination Inclusion: Our schools are intended to teach the children in 3 separate languages,
depending on what country they come from and the languages they already speak. These languages
include French, Arabic, and English. The organization is requesting that the Ministry of Education of Chad
makes accommodations for the non-French speaking students of our schools for the syllabuses and
external examinations. We request the Arabic and English versions of external examinations, syllabuses,
and textbook alternatives.
Right to Certify: Our vocational schools will train our students to efficiently and professionally perform
their trades based on Western standards. We will create rigorous syllabuses and study guides for all our
vocational classes and their students so that our students can compete in the ever-changing world. It is
our request that Chad grants us the right and permit to bestow certificates to the students upon the
completion of their extensive courses. These certificates will be valid within the Republic of Chad and will
serve as evidence of their right to practice their trade.
Employment Tax Exemption: For the duration of their employment with Mutual Aim, we ask that our
staff be granted tax exemption as their work already contributes to the betterment of the country. Taxes
are used to build communities, and their work will be doing exactly this. In this case, we ask that the
government make an exception for our workers. Beyond their roles at our organization, they may begin to
pay employment taxes to the government.
Export and Import licenses: The organization wishes not only to import goods from other countries to
further support our beneficiaries, but to also export crops and other produce for that same reason. We
intend to sell harvested crops and other produce to further our cause in Chad and all over the world. To
continually sustain the village and our numerous projects across Chad and the rest of Africa, we must
generate multiple forms of revenue, this being one of several. We recognize that we need the approval of
the government as a nonprofit entity to carry out such operations, and we urge you to consider the
importance and benefit of establishing this business venture.
38
Rationale for Approval.
As a show of good faith and our excitement to build in the great country of Chad, the organization will be
happy to guarantee a few things to the government of the country. Here are some reasons we hope you
approve the commencement of this project.
Local Meetings and Festivals: The organization will offer a space for local meetings and festivals 3
times during the year. We will offer our halls or fields, depending on the nature of the event, what is
needed, and what is available at the time. During such events, hosts will be required to collect tickets from
our office for their guests/attendees. These tickets will grant guests temporary access to the designated
property for the event. The organizing of these events will be entirely up to the hosts Mutual Aim shall
simply provide the venue.
Professional Training: The organization will offer training to local professionals based on the need and
availability of our personnel (including foreign/visiting personnels) to neighboring communities and
facilities. These professionals may include, but are not limited to: farmers, teachers, medical professionals,
and vocational instructors.
Addition to The Chadian Economy: Due to the size of this proposed project, it will inevitably
contribute immensely to the countrys economy. Not only will the village train new members of the
countrys workforce in an intellectually competitive environment, it will produce tax-payers for the
economy. Members of our staff who complete the program will become regular taxpayers following their
transition out of the Mutual Aim village.
Community Impact: We assure that wherever the village is built and established, the organization will
commit to supporting communities in our immediate vicinity to the best of our capabilities whether it is by
providing water, food, education, medical assistance, or other forms of aid.
A Vision for Lasting Change: Mutual Aim Village is not just about providing aid; it is about restoring
dignity, stability, and opportunity to those who have lost everything. By creating a self-sustaining
39
community with education, employment, and healthcare, this initiative will transform lives while
strengthening Chads economy and humanitarian leadership. Approving this project is an investment in a
future where displaced individuals are not just surviving but thriving. It is a bold step toward long-term
progress, ensuring Chad remains a symbol of resilience and hope for generations to come.
Conclusion.
The Mutual Aim village is projected to be unlike any other humanitarian project in the history of Africa.
Upon extensive research, we concluded that there is not a more perfect home for this initiative Chad is
the most fitting place for the first of many Mutual Aim villages across Africa. The countrys reputation
precedes it. With its history of receiving refugees for over two decades, it continues to prove that there is
no better place for this safe haven.
Judging from Africas own history, the continent is in desperate need of relief, but also a long-lasting
difference for its people. Most importantly, the children of Africa the future of the continent, deserve to
grow in a place that is safe, a bubble where they can thrive, they can be their absolute best, and their
dreams are just an arm stretch away.

  • 4. 4 Project Title: Mutual Aim Village. Country: Chad. Region: South West (Outskirts of capital.) Project overview and summary. Mutual Aim is looking to build a transitional village in Chad to support underrepresented locals and people displaced into Chad from other countries. This village will seek to support these beneficiaries and encourage transition back into everyday society. In addition, Mutual Aim will be looking to purchase properties outside of the village that can be used to start small businesses for all our beneficiaries - local Chadians and other displaced people. Project rationale: Chad is central to several countries currently experiencing severe emergencies that are creating alarming numbers of externally displaced individuals, families, and communities. With many of these displaced people seeking refuge in Chad, we recognize that there is a great need for humanitarian support. As many people have fled from their homes and countries with nothing but the clothes on their backs, systems must be put in place to assist them back into everyday life. In the mission to accomplish this, Mutual Aim seeks to build a place of transition, providing amenities that are most essential to humanity - food, water, education, community, and shelter. The buildings we purchase outside of the village will go towards starting small businesses for the people we cater to, using this as a means to encourage self-sustenance. Beneficiaries: Displaced families and individuals, refugees from neighboring countries, and underserved/unemployed locals. Goal: Rehabilitation and support systems for individuals without aid, security, or other basic amenities.
  • 5. 5 Anticipated benefits: This project is intended to provide a stable and secure environment for those who have been displaced from their communities, while simultaneously supplying food, water, and other basic amenities to neighboring communities that are currently underserved. The Mutual Aim village will aim to transition individuals and families who have lost the presence and support of their communities, along with their sense of independence. The village, as already described, will be a place of transition and rehabilitation, providing all that is necessary to encourage the autonomy of everyone served. - The village will be a place for children to be fed, educated, and protected. - It will be a place for displaced workers to be employed and live rent-free. - The village will serve as a support system for local Chadians who are seeking employment or somewhere to send their children during the day, not having to worry about their daily meals, their safety, and any potential school fees. - The villages medical center will focus on serving its occupants, displaced people in the immediate area, and local Chadians who are also in need of medical assistance. Our goal is to be a part of the rebuilding of Africa, and a project such as this will be a great stepping stone to accomplishing that. Key success factors. Some factors determining the success of this project will include: - Consistent supply of crops, poultry, and water to neighboring communities and local organizations across Africa. - Effective schooling for local and displaced children and youth (formal and vocational learning.) - A safe environment for local and displaced children that provides them with daily meals, medical support, education, and other necessities to thrive. - Reliable medical assistance for injured and infected victims of war and other forms of conflict, not excluding people in need of such support as a result of impoverished
  • 6. 6 circumstances. - Ability to provide income to staff to encourage future autonomy. - Community setting that encourages beneficiaries to re-adapt into everyday society. - Proper and deliberate care of onsite staff in the duration of their on-campus stay. Implementation. - Mutual Aim will hire local and displaced farmers to plant and harvest crops and tend poultry. Food and livestock will be loaded onto our trucks and then delivered to beneficiaries. - Water dispensing systems like wells, tanks, and taps will be built for neighboring communities that are in need of water. Water will be delivered to the communities with tanks on a basis of need, along with food. - Local and displaced medical professionals will be hired to provide primary/immediate medical care to locals and displaced individuals at our medical center. Other members of our medical team will be volunteers brought into the country from around the world. - Local and displaced teachers and vocational instructors will be hired to educate displaced and local children, along with other volunteers who will be brought in from outside the country. - Local and displaced cooks will be hired to cook for and feed the school children, staff, and displaced individuals in the immediate vicinity. - Staff housing will be provided for displaced members of our staff. Facilities and others: - Farmlands. - Farmers shed. - Well and taps. - Medical center. - Warehouses. - Wells. - Barn and grazing field. - School buildings. - Classrooms.

  • 9. Project Breakdown. With little to no humanitarian aid provided to the country, our organization has set out to carry out our largest humanitarian effort in Chad. The Mutual Aim village (M.A.V) is projected to provide many necessities to local Chadians and their displaced neighbors. We aim to make available social services that include but are not limited to, food, water, shelter, education, and employment through the means that are depicted below. Project Mission Statement. The Mutual Aim village Chad (MAV Chad) is a transitional village that aims to provide long-term, sustainable change to the refugees and underserved citizens of Chad. MAV Chad is projected to provide all the basic essentials to our staff, displacement camps, and neighboring communities while equipping them with the necessary resources to be autonomous. Mutual Aim believes in taking action that lasts beyond the now, and we have dedicated time to carefully curate a place where our beneficiaries are prepared for a prosperous future. Whether it is through providing formal education, vocational training, building a competent library, funding small businesses, or creating employment within the premises of the village, Mutual Aim strives to be instrumental in the restoration of Africa. 9
  • 10. Building Purposes. Farms. Our farms are projected to feed over 15,000 people across the Mutual Aim Village, select displacement camps, and local Chadians. Not only will this provide relief to those who do not have access to food, it will be a source of support to grassroots organizations within the country that have already been doing the diligent work of assisting vulnerable people in need. Our trucks will send out food during harvest seasons to kitchens built to serve the displacement camps, assisting them in effectively attending to those they are responsible for. Additionally, our farms will create employment for locals and displaced individuals. In order to efficiently manage farmlands of such magnitude, we will employ farmers from the neighboring communities and displacement camps in exchange for paid wages. By doing so, we hope not only to build rapport with those in our immediate communities but to help them in ways that matter. In addition to the food that will be provided by our farms, our team hopes to transport food from neighboring Nigeria and Cameroon as there can never be too much aid. Seeing as the climates in both neighboring countries are different from that of Chads, we concluded that the importation of a variety of fruits, vegetables, and other categories of food may further our endeavors of providing high-nutritious meals to those we serve. 10
  • 11. Barn and Grazing Field. Our barn will be used to raise livestock, with which we will feed the people we serve. We aim to serve our beneficiaries balanced diets, including vegetables, fruits, nuts, carbohydrates, proteins, and much more. A list of produce we hope to obtain from this barn is as follows: Beef. Chicken. Fish. Eggs. Milk. We will derive further products from our milk, sending batches to refineries to process them for longevity. From our milk, we will derive cheese, yogurt, butter, and powdered milk to add to our peoples diets. Fruits from our farms will also be sent to refineries to be processed into jams and dehydrated fruit jerky for the children. Our grazing field will be used to let out the animals so that they can be fed by their caretakers. Undoubtedly, the barn will provide additional employment opportunities to those in need of work. Warehouses, Wells, and Truck Parking. Our warehouses will be used not only to store food, but they will also be used in holding equipment that are necessary to run the organization, additional supplies for the people living in the village, and donations received by the organization. The sizes of our warehouses will demand exclusive workers to organize our inventory and load trucks as needed. This will serve as another means of job opportunities. 11
  • 12. Our operations in Chad will require multiple commercial trailers, school buses, and pickup trucks. The truck parking area will be used to store such vehicles. Alongside the parking area, we hope to install a car wash, not only for these vehicles but also for others on the Mutual Aim Campus. We strive to uphold sustainability throughout this project, at each level. One of the ways we intend on maintaining sustainability is through our wells that are projected to provide water to the village and neighboring communities. Kitchen and Dining Hall. Our general kitchen is projected to feed at least 6,000 people two meals every day. Our beneficiaries will include our tenants in the village, the students in the schools, local Chadians, and people in the neighboring displacement camps. We hope to alleviate the pressure on other grassroots organizations that are already in Chad, feeding the people. The kitchen is also estimated to provide employment to at least 40 displaced individuals and local Chadians. To efficiently serve our community, our kitchen must at all times be fully staffed and properly equipped to the highest standards. In light of fostering a spirit of excellence, we have crafted a lofty dinning haul that comfortably seats over 1500 students and staff for two meals a day. As we believe that a nutritious diet is the cornerstone of a bright future. Schools Buildings. The Mutual Aim Schools (M.A.S.) will provide a rigorous education to our students. The schools have been put in place to serve over 1,500 children ages 18 and under. Our curriculum will be curated to develop 12
  • 13. long-lasting teaching strategies that are best to produce exceptional leaders of tomorrow. Alongside this, our students will be encouraged to embody our core values of discipline, honesty, and diligence. The organization aims to foster a positive environment of learning and recuperation for the children, as well as everyone on the campus. Furthermore, the organization will be responsible for feeding our students at least two meals a day while school is in session. Based on our calculations, the schools will require over 100 teachers. This will serve as another means of employment for locals and displaced people in the area. With competent salaries, we hope to assist members of our communities into financial relief and stability. Vocational School Buildings. Mutual Aim seeks to provide long-term change where it sets its roots. We understand that at times, it is not enough to feed people and provide water, we must also teach people the necessary skills to sustain themselves, giving them autonomy over their lives; our vocational schools aim to do just that. Over 500 students will benefit from these trade schools every year, providing them with foundational skills that will be useful to find employment in ever-changing industries. Our beneficiaries will include students in their last year of school who are looking to transition into university, the youth who have either completed university or do not have the means to attend university, and adults who are interested in learning a trade to properly manage a business. In the same way, these vocational schools will create employment for instructors who are well-versed in the trades they teach to our students. 13
  • 14. Hospital/Medical Center. The Mutual Aim Hospital (M.A.H) is a state-of-the-art facility drenched in the modern era. Equipped with 230 beds, this hospital is estimated to accommodate several hundred patients simultaneously while servicing thousands yearly. It is projected to be one of our biggest employers housing over 100 medical professionals of whom will be of the displaced and local populations. Our medical center is equipped with eight functional departments. This facility will service critical and non-critical patients across the board, transferring high-risk cases to other hospitals via ambulances relieving the overwhelmed local hospitals. Due to the incessant level of need, we will also be deploying our medical staff to the displacement camps and local populations to aid on the ground. Boarding School Buildings. The Mutual Aim Boarding School (M.A.B.S.) embodies the African quote It takes a village to raise a child It is an all-inclusive Co-ed facility for orphaned displaced and local children. We seek the permission and help of the government to obtain guardianship of the children until they reach the age of maturity. Providing them with their basic necessities and so much more until and after they've gone to university, Mutual Aim strongly believes in the African tradition of community. We hope that through these humanitarian acts, we will positively influence the lives of the children who've lost it all. The boarding school buildings will consist of two buildings, one for the boys and one for the girls. Each will have a total of 100 beds for our children, with guardians on every floor to watch after them. During their stay at the village, they will have access to medical care, food, clothing, shelter, education, and other necessities. Following their time at the village, we will continue to be responsible for them to the best of our abilities. 14
  • 15. Greenhouse. The Mutual Aim Greenhouse (M.A.G) is the symbiotic mixture of the old and the new. While the Village is entrenched in modernity we remain steadfast in our mission to uphold our African values. This project is meant to cultivate and highlight our traditions through Herbology. We will be using this space to grow indigenous plants and roots that supplement the body. The goal is to teach our children the lost art of healing thyself through herbal remedies. Staff Housing. The Mutual Aim Staff Housing (M.A.S.H.) embodies the quote No one is insignificant, everyone has the potential to make a difference. We have put our hearts into these homes. With apartment units able to house over 100 staff and their families. The vision behind these units is to restore the dignity of the displaced and local people. Having faced unfathomable horrors due to the conflicts in their regions. And being forced to abandon all that they have ever known. We at Mutual believe in rooting for the underdog. As no one is insignificant they just haven't been given a fighting chance. We hope that with these homes our staff go on to improve their lives and subsequently the lives of others. Pantry and Support Buildings. The Mutual Aim Village (M.A.V) is designed to simulate everyday life, supporting our beneficiaries in ways that aid transition back into society. Many of our beneficiaries are expected to be victims/survivors of difficult circumstances, many of whom have lived as displaced refugees for years. To achieve success with this project, we must create an environment that resembles that of which our people will one day rejoin. The purpose of the pantry and the support building is to create a level of semblance to the regular activities we all partake in, in our own personal lives; things that give meaning to our days. It may be going 15
  • 16. to the store to retrieve food, clothes, or hygiene products, but such minor activities reinforce our independence. The pantry and support building will also provide additional work opportunities to our communities, as they will need people to manage them and create that much-needed environment. Main Building and Library. As a foreign organization, it is paramount that we create a lasting presence in the country of Chad and prove to its people that we are here long term. Chad will be acknowledged as another home for Mutual Aim. To do so, we have included offices for members of our staff and executive team. This way, we can work within the country as needed. Books are the way of the future and have always been. The brightest minds of our generation and before have credited books for their outstanding works. If the Mutual Aim School (M.A.S) is to provide the next generation of the worlds top scholars, but must hold itself to the highest standards according to world experts. To achieve this, there is a plan in place to install a fully equipped and highly competent library and computer lab, as computers, too, are the future. Open Air Stadium, In the spirit of fostering community and instilling pivotal life lessons in our students. We decided to open The Mutual Aim Stadium (M.A.O.S,) as we believe that certain life lessons are better taught on a field. This facility will facilitate the exercise of our students while simultaneously instilling sportsmanship in partnership with other schools. 16
  • 17. Park. The organization aims to foster and rebuild communities among those who have been displaced from their former ones. In addressing the issues that plague the people we serve, we must acknowledge the vitality of building or rebuilding community. In a place where everyone has responsibilities, we must make space for neighbors to gather and create lasting bonds, a place for the children to be just that, and somewhere to re-experience a life once had. The Mutual Aim ethical park seeks to make this a reality. Mosque and Church. Faith can move mountains We understand the plight that our villagers have had to carry due to displacement and conflict. And we recognize that if not for faith Mutual Aim would not exist. So in the spirit of hope. We included two religious buildings in hopes that our villagers would find the peace that they've been so desperately in need of. 17

  • 35. Implementation. Residency Duration. Members of our staff who have been displaced or who are refugees will be housed in the village so long as we have accommodation. Residents will be permitted to live in the village with registered members of their families for up to 5 years. After which they will be transitioned to general housing (a future phase of the organizations project), granted that their completion of the program is satisfactory. The follow-up: Once residents successfully complete the program and have been transitioned into general housing, our research team will conduct follow-up checkups with them and their families to determine how well they have transitioned into the next phase of the project. The 5 years spent in the village was the preparation for this phase and can be used to determine the success of the village workers program. Determining Success. 1. The success of this project will be determined by the number of individuals who complete the program having saved the projected average amount in 5 years. During this five-year period, the organization will be responsible for providing all basic necessities for our staff and their families, including education for their children. With no financial responsibilities, we expect that the average family/individual will save about 65% - 75% of their income, giving them a substantial amount to support them in their new lives. 2. To further determine the success and usefulness of this project, our Chief Research Officer, alongside professional psychologists will observe the children, youth, and adult residents to determine how well they integrate into their new environment. In doing this, we hope to gauge how individuals and families are thriving within their new communities and to find flaws in the program so that we can further perfect the system and learn what was initially effective. 3. Graduation rates and quality will also be determining factors of the success of this project. Students graduating and graduating well from primary, secondary, and vocational schooling will be 35

It is projected that our farms will supply crops to different regions of the country and multiple organizations within those regions. The organization must be able to deliver resources to these places as at when due in order to determine the effectiveness of this project. 5. Our hospital is projected to serve an average of 15,000 people every month, while still sending emergency first responders/life-saving first aid workers to nearby displacement camps. While our medical staff work in the camps, they will be instructed to bring with them whoever needs intensive care to see our physicians and other medical professionals. We will be responsible for transporting these patients with our medical vehicles. The rate at which the hospital and our on-site medical team attend to patients every year, making sure to provide quality support, will help determine the success of this project. 6. Once residents successfully complete the program and have been transitioned into general housing, our research team will conduct follow-up checkups with them and their families to determine how well they transitioned into general housing, our research team will conduct follow-up checkups with them and their families to determine how well they have transitioned into the next phase of the project. The 5 years spent in the village was the preparation for this phase and can be used to determine the success of the village workers program. Conditions To Build. For Mutual Aim to commence on the first stages of this project, there are several conditions that must be met by the government of the Republic of Chad. These conditions are open to negotiation but ultimately required for the organization to build in this country. They are as follows: Mutual Aim Residents IDs: The organization requests an identification system for the residents of the Mutual Aim village. These IDs should be recognizable and a valid form of authentication beyond the villages walls. Mutual Aim residents should be able to present their IDs where necessary and should be accepted as a valid form of identification. 36
  • 37. Military Protection: The organization is requesting the provision of military protection from the Chadian government for the Mutual Aim village for the initial checkpoint into the village and the perimeters of the external wall. The organization will hire local security within the walls of the village but will need the support of the military to guard the village externally and regulate the secured access for those coming into and leaving the premises. Property and Personnel Protection Assurance: The organization requires the assurance of property protection from the government of the Republic of Chad as a condition for building this project in the country. We request the assurance of the government that in the event of unforeseeable circumstances or unrest, Mutual Aim properties and personnel will be protected as a matter of urgency. Bank Access: For our staff to securely store their income without worry, they must have access to banking where they can create their own secure accounts in their own names. These accounts must be accessible as it is for every other legal resident of the country. This agreement must include that their accounts will not be affected negatively even after they complete the program, regardless of whether or not their completion is satisfactory. Residency: Upon the completion of this program, our residents shall be granted full residency by the Chadian government, so that they may own land and enjoy the many other benefits of being legal residents of the country. Residency will include the children, the youth, the adults, and the elderly of the refugee population within our community. Citizenship for Orphans: It is the wish of the organization to be responsible for the orphans in our care until they can go into the world on their own. This, for us, does not end at the age of 18. As these children often no longer have anyone to be responsible for them, the organization shall be assuming parental responsibility. In these cases, we ask that the children (or youth) be granted immediate citizenship upon request by the organization. For the success of this project, we must provide a place with which the orphans can identify. 37
  • 38. Examination Inclusion: Our schools are intended to teach the children in 3 separate languages, depending on what country they come from and the languages they already speak. These languages include French, Arabic, and English. The organization is requesting that the Ministry of Education of Chad makes accommodations for the non-French speaking students of our schools for the syllabuses and external examinations. We request the Arabic and English versions of external examinations, syllabuses, and textbook alternatives. Right to Certify: Our vocational schools will train our students to efficiently and professionally perform their trades based on Western standards. We will create rigorous syllabuses and study guides for all our vocational classes and their students so that our students can compete in the ever-changing world. It is our request that Chad grants us the right and permit to bestow certificates to the students upon the completion of their extensive courses. These certificates will be valid within the Republic of Chad and will serve as evidence of their right to practice their trade. Employment Tax Exemption: For the duration of their employment with Mutual Aim, we ask that our staff be granted tax exemption as their work already contributes to the betterment of the country. Taxes are used to build communities, and their work will be doing exactly this. In this case, we ask that the government make an exception for our workers. Beyond their roles at our organization, they may begin to pay employment taxes to the government. Export and Import licenses: The organization wishes not only to import goods from other countries to further support our beneficiaries, but to also export crops and other produce for that same reason. We intend to sell harvested crops and other produce to further our cause in Chad and all over the world. To continually sustain the village and our numerous projects across Chad and the rest of Africa, we must generate multiple forms of revenue, this being one of several. We recognize that we need the approval of the government as a nonprofit entity to carry out such operations, and we urge you to consider the importance and benefit of establishing this business venture. 38
  • 39. Rationale for Approval. As a show of good faith and our excitement to build in the great country of Chad, the organization will be happy to guarantee a few things to the government of the country. Here are some reasons we hope you approve the commencement of this project. Local Meetings and Festivals: The organization will offer a space for local meetings and festivals 3 times during the year. We will offer our halls or fields, depending on the nature of the event, what is needed, and what is available at the time. During such events, hosts will be required to collect tickets from our office for their guests/attendees. These tickets will grant guests temporary access to the designated property for the event. The organizing of these events will be entirely up to the hosts Mutual Aim shall simply provide the venue. Professional Training: The organization will offer training to local professionals based on the need and availability of our personnel (including foreign/visiting personnels) to neighboring communities and facilities. These professionals may include, but are not limited to: farmers, teachers, medical professionals, and vocational instructors. Addition to The Chadian Economy: Due to the size of this proposed project, it will inevitably contribute immensely to the countrys economy. Not only will the village train new members of the countrys workforce in an intellectually competitive environment, it will produce tax-payers for the economy. Members of our staff who complete the program will become regular taxpayers following their transition out of the Mutual Aim village. Community Impact: We assure that wherever the village is built and established, the organization will commit to supporting communities in our immediate vicinity to the best of our capabilities whether it is by providing water, food, education, medical assistance, or other forms of aid. A Vision for Lasting Change: Mutual Aim Village is not just about providing aid; it is about restoring dignity, stability, and opportunity to those who have lost everything. By creating a self-sustaining 39

Approving this project is an investment in a future where displaced individuals are not just surviving but thriving. It is a bold step toward long-term progress, ensuring Chad remains a symbol of resilience and hope for generations to come. Conclusion. The Mutual Aim village is projected to be unlike any other humanitarian project in the history of Africa. Upon extensive research, we concluded that there is not a more perfect home for this initiative Chad is the most fitting place for the first of many Mutual Aim villages across Africa. The countrys reputation precedes it. With its history of receiving refugees for over two decades, it continues to prove that there is no better place for this safe haven. Judging from Africas own history, the continent is in desperate need of relief, but also a long-lasting difference for its people. Most importantly, the children of Africa the future of the continent, deserve to grow in a place that is safe, a bubble where they can thrive, they can be their absolute best, and their dreams are just an arm stretch away. 40
