John and Destiny got married in Alamogordo, New Mexico in April 2003. John joined the USAF in April 2004 and graduated from basic training. He attended technical school at Keesler Air Force Base from June 2004 to September 2004 and was then stationed at Offutt Air Force Base from September 2004 to January 2007 working as an Airman First Class computer programmer. Their son Sam Connelly was born and in January 2007 they transferred to White Sands Missile Range where John continued working as a retired Airman First Class computer programmer through to the present.
