Webinar: You too can be a sketching machine - Rizwan JavaidCodemotion
?
Sketching is a crucial skill that spans all job titles. It helps with brainstorming ideas, iterating through concepts, and communicating our ideas to others. Whether working individually or in a group, our ability to sketch helps take the abstract ideas out of heads and into the real world. In this hands-on webinar, I discuss the power of sketching to lay the foundation of why sketching is an important skill for everyone. I have the attendees do a few sketching activities which are short and provide immediate proof that everyone in the room can sketch and have a lot of fun while doing it. I then talk about my transformation as a designer who didn't appreciate sketching to developing a sketching mindset.

1) Alfred is an example of anticipatory design that aims to anticipate a user's needs before they do.
2) The document discusses best practices for anticipatory design including focusing on context, being wary of over-personalization, and ensuring the user retains control.
3) It describes a case study where an insurance company wanted to anticipate members' needs but faced constraints of limited data and not wanting to over-personalize and lose trust. They used a human-centered design process to discover needs, synthesize scenarios, generate formats, and focus on triggers to anticipate actions.
At the core of creativity are some historical concepts that can help frame our creative pursuits.
So, why not teach creative processes? When a teacher determines to creatively teach they are role modelling the behaviours they want to see reflected in their students. Saves time. Saves energy.

Blind spots in AI and Formulation Science, IFPAC 2025.pdfAjaz Hussain
?
The intersection of AI and pharmaceutical formulation science highlights significant blind spots¡ªsystemic gaps in pharmaceutical development, regulatory oversight, quality assurance, and the ethical use of AI¡ªthat could jeopardize patient safety and undermine public trust. To move forward effectively, we must address these normalized blind spots, which may arise from outdated assumptions, errors, gaps in previous knowledge, and biases in language or regulatory inertia. This is essential to ensure that AI and formulation science are developed as tools for patient-centered and ethical healthcare.
