Omkar More was born in 1968 and started his political career with his uncle Bal Thackeray in the Shiv Sena party. In 2006, he resigned from the Sena and announced he would be starting his own political party, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. The party advocates for issues around promoting the Marathi language and protecting the interests of native Marathi people in Maharashtra.
