MY MCBS STORY

Before I started the MCBS program I attended Valencia Community College
but I found no passion in my schoolwork and wanted to find a place where
my passion for acting, writing and entertainment such as film, movies, and
fashion were encouraged.
=
I had always thought I wanted to be a Psychologist because I thoroughly
enjoyed Intro to Psychology but then we began learning about how the
mind works and because of that I realized that was not for me.

Though Valencia Community College is a good college for students
who want to further their education to The University of Central
Florida, this college wasnt for me. Valencia was not suited for me
not just because their careers sparked no interest in me but also
because there is absolutely no encouragement for creativity, visual
and kinesthetic learning, which is how I strive.
Creativity has always been a huge part of my life and without it Im
quite miserable especially in a school environment.
=
I also tried to join activities within the school that could encourage
my creative side but there were no activities that sparked my interest
If I am not enjoying the course work or have some sort of a creative
outlet then I will not have motivation to get up and go to class, thus
money is then being wasted
I later left the college because of that and because I was not sure on
how to pursue my passions, and because of that I struggled with
where I wanted my life and future to take me. Due to me not
knowing where I wanted to go I began working at a family friends
retail store but continued to act locally and soon made a Tumblr Blog.
Through acting, writing and blogging I was able to work through my
creative outlet while working at the store.
Writing is a creative outlet for me that I enjoy. I love creating stories
and therefore I began to write a book, a book which I hope to get
published one day
Acting has always been a love of mine since I was seven and when I
began attending Valencia Community College, I was unable to do that
because I had no time but when I left the school I was able to pick
that love back up.
Blogging was also an amazing creative outlet because I could talk to
others about my love for certain subjects; such as my life, TV, film,
fashion, celebrities and more. I enjoyed blogging about all of the
previously listed subjects, especially film and TV or anything that
related to entertainment, and because of that I came across some
followers who attended Full Sail University.
I had never heard of Full Sail University but as I continued to research
the school, it intrigued me. Until finally I realized I had been looking
for careers in the wrong places and decided I would be happiest if I
continued to pursue my acting and begin a career as a New Media
Journalist that specialized in entertainment writing. And ever since, I
decided to pursue my passion for media in the entertainment
industry.
