The document summarizes the history of the Volkswagen Beetle and the author's project to restore an old Beetle. It explains that Ferdinand Porsche had a vision to create an affordable car for all people, which led to the creation of the Beetle in Germany in the late 1930s. It then describes how the author's father found an old Beetle for sale for 500 Reais, which the author bought and has been restoring, spending around 4,000 Reais so far on wheels, an engine, and other small parts, though the restoration is not yet complete.
2. Story
First I will explain the story of the Beetle.
The Beetle was invented in Germany in the late thirties.
Ferdnand Porche had a Dream: Making a car any person could afford. He
was unsuccessful, until Hitler needed an easy-to-make resistant cheap
car.
Hitler helped Ferdnand to build a factory. Unfortunately. the war
happened faster than the project, and the Beetle was only finished when
the war was almost over. Even so, many cars participated in the war.
Hitler lost and died, but the Beetle remains alive with over twenty
millions cars having been sold.
3. My Project:
Last November, one year ago, my father called me. He said: Hi! I found a
Beetle, and it is in good condition!! Do you want to buy ?
It costs Five hundred Reais And I said OK!
The car was cheap, but I bought wheels, an engine, some small parts,
paid taxes etc. I spent about four thousand reais, and still have not
finished . I havent painted it yet, and the engine still doesnt work.
But, this isnt a car, this is a Hobby.
Below are pictures of the wheels and the engine
Now some pictures of how the project will look like.
