Mrs. Shakirat Adepeju Babatunde is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in public sector, audit, banking, finance, and academics. She holds a BSc in Accounting, MSc in Accounting, MBA in Marketing Management, and a PhD in Accounting research. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Nigerian Institute of Management. Currently, she serves as the Managing Director of Lekki Concession Company Limited in Lagos State Government. She has authored several publications on leadership, infrastructure management, and public expenditure.

MBA, FNIM, MIPA, MISACA Mrs. Babatunde is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, Boston, Massachusetts United States of America, She is a Chartered Accountant by profession. Member of the innovative Institute of Public Accountants, Australia (MIPA). She has a Bachelor of Science degree (Second Class Upper Division) with a Master of Science in Accounting. She is a Ph.D. Accounting research fellow from the University of Lagos, Akoka. Her research interest is in public sector accounting. She possesses, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a bias for marketing management, from the ESUT Business School of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology. She is a Professional member of Information Systems Audit and Control Association now ISACA. A Fellow of the prestigious Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management. Shakirat serves on the Governing Council of (ICAN) since 2006. She had her professional accountancy training with Akinmade & Co and Babington Ashaye & Co. (Chartered Accountants). Mrs. Babatunde has over 25 years varied leadership experience in the public sector, audit and compliance, banking, finance, accounting, academics. She was treasurer and Chief inspector while in the banking sector. She is presently with Lagos State Government as Managing Director, Lekki Concession Company Limited. Lecturer in allied subjects in tertiary institutions, workshops and seminars. Member of the Federal government of Nigeria, Universities visitation panel for 2010. She has sponsored many professional workshops and authored many books, journal articles and other national and international publications on leadership, control, infrastructure management, youth employment and entrepreneurship.
