One morning I was at my dads house, when my mom called

and said that were all packed to go to Maine. I asked her if my

suitcase was all set and she said yup its all ready for ya. Then

she told dad and I to meet her at the covered bridge, that goes over

the Connecticut River (which is also the longest wooden covered

bridge in the U.S.A, its also the longest 2 span covered bridge in

the world).

When we got to the covered bridge there a lot of people and

tourists taking lots of pictures of the bridge and the river. When I

was done looking at all the people taking pictures, dad said to me to

have lots of fun for him, take lots of pictures and catch lots of fish.

Dad and I had to wait a little while because mom had to make sure

that she got everything and lock all the doors and make sure the

cats had food, after a while mom showed up with the car all packed

up and ready to go. I was very excited to go to Maine for a whole

week with just my mom for a week. When we where have way I out

the window of the car and saw a big pontoon boat that was white

and had one big green stripe going down trough the middle of the

boat on each side, it was going on a very nice dark blue river, but
the river wasnt all dark blue. It had a little hint of light blue to, so it

was riding on very nice river.

The next thing I saw when I was looking out the window, a little

up the road form the river, was a great big coyote. It looked like it

had got in to lots of fights with other coyotes or other animals. The

next thing I saw was a moose with a giant wrack on the top of its

head. Its fur looked like a light milk chocolate bar with a hint of

white. I could hear it calling to its friends, the call sounded like

someone holding their nose and doing a silly noise. When I saw

him, I thought I was going to explode with excitement. When we

finally got to the little cottage mom and I got out and stretched. The

mom went to the door and unlocked it so that we could start to

unpack the car. We settled in and went to bed.

The next day we went to rent a pontoon boat, but first mom

and I had to get our fishing licenses. We returned to the cottage on

the pontoon boat and were trying to figure out how we could get the

car back to the cottage. Then mom and I got our fishing supplies,

grabbed our worms, and went out into the lake. First mom caught a

salmon, and then she caught a white-bellied shark fish. Then I got

a bite, and I could tell it was a big one! My fishing pole was bent
because the fish was so big. I started reeling faster and faster, and

then I could see it was a big fish! I called mom and told her, I got

one! I could tell it was a big one because she was fighting up a

storm. It was so hard to real here in. When I finally got her out of

the water, it was a giant mother perch! She was about a foot long,

and two inches wide. She was gray and had black stripes down the

side from top to bottom. She was glistening in the little bit of sun

that we had. She was breathing hard because she put up quite a

fight. I jumped with glee, and I expressed that glee ignoring that I

clothes and that the water going to be cold, I ran and jumped off of

the boat into the water for the victory of the awesome catch!

Unfortunately that was only big fish that I caught. I let my

catch go, started up the boat, drove it back to the dock and docked

the boat. When we got back to the cottage I met up with a few

friends. Our next-door neighbors were friends of the owner of the

cottage that we were staying in. The kids that were with them were

from Japan. I started talking to one of them and ask if she liked

Pokemon, and she replied, I love Pokemon. We then started to

play, have fun and swim. I told them that I caught a big fish, and
they asked about the kind of fish it was. I told them it was a mother

perch.

When it was time to leave, I said goodbye to my friends. We

had one last swim and played around and then I left. We stopped

at McDonalds for lunch. We stopped by an antique store that was

made out of a barn, and went home. We got out stuff out of the car,

unpacked, went inside and mom watched T.V while reading a

magazine and I played on my Nintendo. I thought that the fish that I

caught wasnt the only fish I would catch that was that big. In the

future I dream to break my record of catching my first big fish.
