MyStreet is the opportunity for public organisms (e.g. the Mayor of London or the Councils) to foster the digital integration of their already existing services. On top of that, MyStreet extends this offering by establishing a platform that supports their local businesses in a tangible manner and by enhancing the interaction with their neighbors. These benefits are key to the win-win situation framing the partnership between MyStreet and any public organisms sharing one common goal: creating a real sense of community. A collaborative approach will enable MyStreet to have a full reach to the local businesses network through the regular channels of a Council or the Mayor. These institutions can provide public information on their area of influence such as registered businesses and their own services in diverse matters such as health, education, leisure and volunteering opportunities. A strong alliance with the public sector and boundaries with charity organisations also provide access to additional funding sources for the start-up project.

Based on these user preferences together with a personal heat map, MyStreet will communicate customised information only. Automatically curated messages appear on MyStreets pinboard, which is unique to every neighbors settings and habits. Neighbors themselves have the possibility to tweet local updates, share activities or create events happening in their neighborhood.
