Natural Areas Celebration Week is an annual event from May 4th to 12th that connects people to nature and celebrates protected natural areas. The vision is to protect and treasure local natural features like hillsides, floodplains, streams, wetlands, and open spaces. The event is organized by the Natural Areas Action Team and partners with over 15 local organizations. Activities during the week include field days, hikes, an open house, birding trips, and presentations about local forests and natural areas.
