CHERRY GARDEN AND LANDSCAPERS
Mr Tejas and Mrs. Padma Concorde Napa Valley Villa No - 356
Heliconia Plants
The Front yard is a narrow space, it has views
from inside through a window in the dining area
and also from the street end.
There is also an existing Grass pavers sitting
upon service area.
We propose multiple layers of planting from the
wall towards the street with decreasing heights.
The first row will be tall plants primarily
flowering like Canna or Heliconia, since it will
also be visible from the window and should be
of less maintainance.
The second row will mainly contain plants which
are bushy in nature and give a good
background.
The third row will be filled with ground covering
plants growing upto 0.5 to 1 ft both flowering
and non flowering.
During our discussion we had spoken
about adding few pots in front of the
garden, especially rectangular bracket
planters.
Now since we propose to add multiple
layers of plant, especially ground covers,
this area would be better to leave it
open for grass.
The grass area will make the area look
2. The planting scheme with three layers is generally a formal planting
scheme which is well defined, however we can also achieve a vivid
landscape by doing an Informal mixed landscape. This depends on plants
availability and will not have well defined lines.
Both sample pictures are presented for reference.

Central Common Area
1. Central Parabolic Area:- As discussed earlier, this area is not just a
private area but also is a common point for public space. It is visible
from 3 sides and becomes an important part of your landscape.
Option1: We can fill this area with multiple trees of varied heights
surrounded by few non -flowering bushes and rest covered by lawn.
Option 2: Plant a single tree with surrounding 2 level flowering and
non flowering bushes, rest covered with few rocks and lawn.
Also a small seating set up can be done is this area subject to budget
availability.
Adding warm colors such as yellows, oranges, reds will enhance this
place.
5. The Parking Area wall
This area is behind the Central
Parabolic garden, this can serve as
a background and also can stand
as an attraction by itself.
A trellis with creepers would allow
lot of options of colors and
structure.
We can either use a standard
lattice (1) or we can install a
fabricated trellis (2&3) or else we
can use vinyl privacy screens (4)
which come in various patterns.
We can even actually install them
on the other side facing towards
the door as well.
Just as an additional option you
can also have a combination of
vertical garden and privacy
screens as shown in the last
picture (5).

Back Garden - Privacy
The backyard faces West and is the sunniest area. This area has lot of
windows which you have suggested to be planted with some trees.
In the mean time, fruit and flowers will grow abundantly in this area.
You have mentioned Banana, Parijatha and Hibiscus in this list along with
some flowers for Pooja.
We propose Terminalia trees planted in rows towards the street end for
partial shade for your building.
A mixture of Flowering plants will be planted on both sides towards the wall
and street along with a walking path.
It is suggested to use either a simple stepping stone or bricks for paving the
Based on the choices of landscaping in the front yard and Central area, some
plants may be repeated in this area.
7. Also we have noticed there
is a chamber in your garden
where we suggest to
position a large urn planter
like in the image with
multiple planting. Ref
image.
8. Parking Area - Creepers suggestions on Lattice
Back Garden - Bushes
Several varieties of short bushes can be planted towards the building to create a colorful look that can
also work as a functionl garden space.
