Intent is to explore the development and implementation of a pre - doctoral curriculum introducing laser applications in dentistry. Students are currently given informal seminars including the basics of laser technology including its protocol, safety and applications. The goal is to create a formal curriculum for the predoctoral program as an adjunct to our current caries risk prevention/management program. A pilot study will be done among D3 and D4 students by using a survey. 2014 Designed and implemented a supplement to the curriculum geared towards assisting D2 students in their transition from preclinic into clinic.
