Overview
What is a financial planning analyst?
Our clients need their money invested, advice on insurance, their tax arrangements
put in place and an overall plan of where their finances are going. Financial planners
work to understand better what the client wants, how they feel about their wealth,
what their hopes are for their future, and the kind of legacy they want to leave.
Financial planning analysts provide the hard facts and research to show how to
deliver these requirements
Firms like ours often call their equivalent of analysts para-planners, implying that
they are secondary and inferior to financial planners. We consider financial planners
and analysts as equals. Planners do the client-facing relationship roles; analysts are
more focused on the technical side, research and analysis. Financial planners cannot
do their job properly without the assistance of a financial planning analyst.
