Komend jaar zullen we onszelf trainen in meer geavanceerde functies

headsup-display voor het geven van just-in-time informatie en het
werken met variabelen zoals het laten verschijnen van scores of infor-
matie over het behalen van spelniveaus.
Ontwikkelingwensen voor de Cyberdam software komen vooral van de
gebruikers en ontstaan als antwoord op praktische problemen en vra-
gen van spelers, deelnemers aan spelsimulaties, zoals studenten en
docenten. We pakken zoveel mogelijk van deze vragen en wensen op,
onder het motto: niets is onmogelijk, als je het
maar geduldig en slim aanpakt.

Hbo-Rechten aan de Haagse Hogeschool
Nieuwe ontwikkelingen in Den Haag
De opleiding HBO-Rechten van de Haagse Hogeschool (Hhs) heeft zich in het
voorjaar 2010 aangesloten bij de Stichting RechtenOnline. Bij de presentatie van
de Stichting was ook CUG-bestuurslid Diny Peters aanwezig, die de gelegenheid
nam om Cyberdam bij de opleiding op de kaart te zetten.
De Hbo-Rechtenopleiding is voornemens om in februari een pilotgame te gaan
spelen. De simulatie gaat over een bedrijf, dat zich opmaakt een ander bedrijf
over te nemen. Om tot een goed besluit te komen heeft het bedrijf zich gewend
tot Advocatenkantoor Peters en Van Gorp gevestigd te Cyberdam. Het kantoor
gaat met behulp van een team juristen de overname begeleiden. De rollen in dit
team worden gespeeld door 2e jaars voltijd studenten Hbo-Rechten van de Hhs
De deeltijdopleiding gaat zich inmiddels opmaken om ook een game te ontwikke-
len. Bijzonder is, dat de opleiding een co旦rdinator heeft aangesteld die de ontwik-
keling en implementatie van games in beide opleidingen (voltijd en deeltijd) in
goede banen gaat leiden.

Brief van de voorzitter
Terugkijkend op het jaar 2010, dat bijna afgelopen is, kom ik tot de
conclusie dat we vol verwachting en optimisme het nieuwe jaar te-
gemoet kunnen zien.
Het afgelopen jaar is vooral een jaar van voorbereiding geweest. Het
eerste bestuur van de CUG heeft de eerste stappen gezet met het
doel de toekomst voor Cyberdam zeker te stellen, om de games te
kunnen blijven spelen en om nieuwe simulatiespelen te kunnen blij-
ven ontwerpen zowel voor de individuele leden als voor opleidingen
en organisaties die licentiehouder zijn.
Het doel van de vereniging luidt immers:
Het bevorderen van het gebruik van Cyberdam spelsimulatie in
onderwijs en andere sectoren van de maatschappij.
Dit uitgangspunt leidt tot de consequentie dat het bestuur ook de
nodige fondsen zal moeten werven om dit voornemen te kunnen
realiseren. Dit is opgenomen in ons jaarplan voor 2011.
Er hebben zich inmiddels weer nieuwe ontwikkelaars (docenten,
trainers) als individueel lid aangemeld en er zijn gesprekken gaande
over licenties aan een aantal organisaties (opleidingen en facultei-
ten in het hoger onderwijs). Individuele leden kunnen hun eigen si-
mulatiespelen ontwikkelen en gebruikmaken van de applicatie op:
games.cyberdam.nl. Organisaties en opleidingen kunnen simulatie-
games spelen als ze een licentie hebben afgesloten (informatie hier-
over: cug@cyberdam.nl).
Dit jaar zijn er gebruikersdagen georganiseerd bij de Hogeschool
Utrecht, de HU Amersfoort, de Haagse Hogeschool en bij Avans Ho-
geschool, Den Bosch. Een van de gebruikersbijeenkomsten stond in
het teken van share-your-game, waarbij we twee nieuwe spelen
hebben gedemonstreerd en ter beschikking hebben gesteld aan de
leden voor eigen gebruik en/of voor aanpassing aan eigen inhoude-
lijke eisen. We hebben een gecombineerd seminar gehouden in sa-
menwerking met Saganet op 16 september. In het nieuwe jaar orga-
niseren we 6 gebruikersbijeenkomsten, die afwisselend in het teken
staan van training en van share-your-game.
Het bestuur heeft dit jaar veel hulp en ondersteuning gehad van een
aantal mensen, dat zich enthousiast voor de CUG heeft ingezet. Met
dank aan Jolanda Kortekaas voor het punctueel bijhouden van het
secretariaat, Marten Lemstra voor zijn ondersteuning bij de help-
desk en Pieter van de Hijden voor zijn ondersteuning bij de invoering
van de versie 2.3 en het verhuizen van applicatie naar de nieuwe
server.

Welkom nieuwkomers in Cyberdam
Via sociale media (Linkedin) zijn de laatste tijd veel mensen bekend geraakt met
Cyberdam. Het gevolg is dat er op dit moment voorbereidingen worden getroffen
voor een serie van zes verschillende spelsessies met deze nieuwkomers in de
virtuele wereld van spelsimulaties voor kennisontwikkeling en kennisuitwisseling.
De bedoeling is dat de deelnemers aan deze sessies een eerste kennismaking
met de spelomgeving opdoen, om daarna zelf mogelijk te beginnen met het
bouwen van een spelmodel voor de eigen beroepspraktijk. Deze nieuwkomers
zijn van harte welkom bij de komende CUG gebruikersdagen.
De genoemde testsimulaties maken deel uit van een onderzoek naar de
betekenis die professionals en opleiders geven aan Cyberdam als virtuele
beroepsomgeving voor de voorbereiding op of verwerking van casusbesprekingen
in ketens van jeugdbescherming en jeugdzorg. Bijzonder is dat deze nieuwe
deelnemers een zeer gevarieerde achtergrond hebben, maar met 辿辿n gedeeld
kenmerk: passie voor beroepsinnovatie met moderne media.
