This document discusses global collaboration in education. It provides 4 components of global collaboration: 1) It goes beyond just sharing products and involves give and take between parties; 2) Products are created with the intention of sharing; 3) The audience is outside of school; 4) Collaboration adds value and changes the process. It then discusses 3 paths to global collaboration: using existing projects, partnering with other classrooms, or creating your own project. Benefits include renewed sense of purpose, pride, community, and understanding of technology and digital footprint. Global collaboration can help reduce fear and stereotypes.
