5. n NDFA Act 2002:
- NDFA established January 2003
- Acts as the States Financial Adviser for all public investment
projects greater than 30 million in value (PPP & Non PPP)
n NDFA (Amendment) Act 2007:
- Role expanded to be the procurement & delivery authority for
PPP Projects, excluding local authority and transport PPPs
n NDFA Legislation Amendment 2012 (pending):
- NDFA Legislation being amended to provide the necessary
legal vires to the NDFA to enable the procurement and
delivery of non-PPP projects
n Infrastructure Stimulus Package Announcement :
- Pipeline of PPP Projects

7. n 12 March 2012 Ministerial announcement of 2bn
investment in schools over the next 5 years.
n Traditional Funding source, i.e. Exchequer funded.
n Programme includes replacement schools, school extensions
and alterations to existing schools.
n Programme delivery to be supported by VECs, NDFA, OPW
and Local Authorities in addition to local schools and
Department.
n NDFA engaged to support the delivery of 17 schools.

- Mix of new builds, extensions and refurbishments.
n Projects have been allocated into 3 Bundles
- Generally split by Geography
- Flexibility to deliver one off schools
n NDFA have appointed 3 Design Teams
- Design and Build contracting strategy
- NDFA have submitted Planning Permissions incl. DAC and FSC.
n D&B Framework established
