This document summarizes highlights from the 2019 NeoCon Interior Design conference. It notes that there was a focus on upholstery, textiles, and bold colors. Companies also emphasized designs that balanced open offices with privacy, using enclosures, acoustic products, screens, and curtains to separate spaces while maintaining collaboration. Many companies offered total solutions by expanding their product ranges and integrating additional features like storage into existing lines to provide more comprehensive offerings to customers.
2. Highlights
This year there is a lot of focus on upholstery, textiles and eye-catching colours.
Open office and enable collaboration design is still the main focus
Ergonomic as in the last few years, no new technology or much new design
Blend office function into the warmth of home design: more fabrics curtains etc
Companies start to seek the balance between open office and privacy, there was
plenty of emphasis on enclosures for single and shared use, with most claiming
acoustic properties.
a. Acoustic products: sound proofing pods, small meeting rooms, sound
proofing
b. Screens, dividers and curtains are widely used to separate a private space
c. Personal storage in office, especially smart lock
Total solution for end users: it is not difficult to find that most of the companies
start to cross to provide wider product range to users, seems total solution is the
way to grow business.
