Networking Use the Power of a Network to Ensure Your Success
Success
Its not WHAT you Know..
Its not WHO you Know
Its who WANTS TO KNOW YOU!!!!
Networking is ..
Using the personal relationships people have with one another to increase your exposure to information and opportunity.
Networking allows you to:
Tap into the hidden market (side door approach)
Have an edge on the competition due to the relationship you have established
To be informed
Gain visibility for future opportunities
Gain referrals (recommendations by people industry trusts)
Good people know other good people. Therefore, its easier and safer to avail product or service from who, by word-of-mouth, has been recommended as a good fit.
Strong networking = shorter sales effort
In Networking Events.
More people leave disappointed.waste of time..
A few walk out with a handful of business cards feeling happy, inspired and excited.
What is the reason.?
Answer
The major difference between these two groups of people is this:
the people who leave on a high note are those who attend with just one goal in mind
to figure out how they can help others in the room.
- Andrew Vest
True networking occurs
when theres an understanding that everyone in the room has equal value.
In its purest form, its about people enjoying other people, communicating passions and connecting with others who share those passions.
Its about listening, figuring out what others need and connecting them with people you think can help, without any designs for personal gain.
Conclusion
The most successful networkers build genuine relationships and give more than they receive. They go beyond thinking, Whats in it for me? to ask How can I help?
Networking is a contact sport! If you don't develop effective relationships, you can't possibly create a powerful, diverse, reliable network of contacts.
