Makes communication easier- globally Viruses can easily transfer from one PC
to another
Cheaper- Share hardware such as

NETWORK
Modem- Connects a network to the internet. (fibre/ADSL)
They can be wireless/wired. Pans are wireless, HANS
wired.
10. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES
OF PANS
Advantages: Disadvantages:
Space saver- no wire space as wireless Cant work more than 10 meters
Portable- no extra wires so easy to
move around
Slow data transfer eg bluetooth
Easy to use no complicated set up Microwaves emitted by certain PANS
causes harm to the body
Security- Better because only
authorised people have access
Reliable for 10 meters
