This document outlines the 3 types of certificates needed for caste recognition in Maharashtra state: 1) A caste certificate stating the applicant's caste is recognized as backward class in Maharashtra, issued by an Executive Magistrate. 2) A caste validity certificate issued by the Divisional Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee. 3) A non-creamy layer certificate valid until March 31st, 2014, issued by the Sub Divisional Officer, Deputy Collector, or District Collector certifying the applicant does not fall in the high-income bracket.
