Kirk Williams Company celebrates 60 years in business. They have expanded from a sheet metal fabrication shop into a full service mechanical contractor with in-house design, fabrication, piping, plumbing, and service divisions. Recent projects include completing the Veterans Affairs Chalmers P. Wylie Medical Facility ahead of schedule and adding BIM capabilities to increase coordination and efficiency. Kirk Williams strives to lead in green construction and sustainability through recycling programs, LEED certification, and sustainable practices.

NavisWorks速 capabilities added to drafting department Kirk Williams Company remains on the leading edge of Building Information Mod- eling (BIM) technology by incorporating NavisWorks速 software into our 3 dimension- al design and coordination drawings. This allows us to participate with other trades, en- gineers, and owners in 5 dimensional virtual walk throughs during the design phase. This platform increases construction efficiency by proactively detecting potential clashes before they become costly on site. This addition is a continuation of our com- mitment to investing in technology that in- creases our productivity and efficiency. We have been using detailed 3 dimensional co- ordination drawings for over a decade, and we successfully incorporated the Bentley速 BIM viewing platform into our coordination process for the 2006 renovations of the Mc- Cracken Power Plant at the Ohio State Uni- versity. Cooling Tower from Human Performance Wing in NavisWorks速 We look forward to upcoming opportunities to team up with clients who appreciate the value of proactive problem solving in the construction process. Veterans Affairs Chalmers P. Wylie Medical Facility Completed This 300,000 square foot facility recently opened its doors to serve the veterans community. This state of the art comprehensive medical care center houses 50 medical departments. This design-build project in- cluded the installation of over 11 miles of ductwork and 27 miles of HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas piping. The Kirk Williams Company was involved in the design of the HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems in the facility, and was able to com- plete the project within budget and on schedule by bringing thoughtful design and competent installation together.
