This newsletter provides an overview of updates and new developments at KAHAWAI watersports for the 2015 season. Key points include: - A new Malibu 22 VLX boat will be used, providing one of the best wakes in the industry. - A boat and jet ski lift have been installed at the marina location for easier launching. - A bungee trampoline is available for on-land wakeboarding training. - A partnership has been formed with FUNBEACH PANHEEL to upgrade and jointly operate their two tower cable park. - The location at Landgoed Hommelheide private lake will again be used for lessons and events.

- 3. 1. INTRODUCTION I guess it’s the same for all of us – the sun is coming out, the smell of spring is in the air, the first ice creams have been eaten and yet, something is missing! It’s the feeling of standing sideways and being pulled over the surface of the water on a wakeboard – whether on the cable, behind a boat or on a winch. The good news is, the waing is almost over as the season is about to start (28.03., opening hours at www.kahawai.nl/openings-‐uren/)… This is the second edion of our yearly newsleHer. The NewsleHer’s purpose is to inform anybody who cares about what’s new at KAHAWAI! Let me tell you – it’s a lot of news and we are happy and proud to see how KAHAWAI is developing! 3 newsleHer KAHAWAI watersports 2015
- 4. 2. SET UP -‐ BOAT In 2015, we will operate our school with a brand new Malibu 22 VLX and therefore, provide one of the best wakes the industry has to offer. While we promote the idea that wakeboarding is fun on whatever pull you can get, the wake of the 22 VLX will definately blow your mind and help any rider to progress quicker and ride bigger! Another great thing about our new boat is, that it will be equiped with Surfgate, turning the Maas into the Atlanc-‐ Ocean at the press of a buHon – great news for all the surfers in the area! 4 newsleHer KAHAWAI watersports 2015

- 6. Other milestones for our daily business are the jet-‐ski and boat lif we have installed right in front of our office. No more driving around the marina before we go wakeboarding – just hop in the boat and off we go! 6 newsleHer KAHAWAI watersports 2015 2. SET UP – BOAT AND JET SKI LIFT
- 7. A bungee trampoline – like the one we set up at the very end of last season – is a great tool for on land training. Gejng used to the basic flips and rotaons, gejng familiar with the handle passes and even strapping on the tramp board to combine the different elements and train the desired trick – in a safe environment before taking it to the water – are some of the great outcomes of trampoline training! - 9. We are very happy to announce our partnership with FUNBEACH PANHEEL. We will upgrade the exisng cable with some UNIT obstacles and operate the cable together. In our opinion, riding a two tower cable is the most effecve way of wakeboarding if maximum progression is the aim. The number of hits the rider gets on the obstacles within a short period of me, the 1 on 1 coaching and the fact that the cable stops when the rider falls add up to quick progression. In addion, it is super fun to be charging a two tower cable – give it a try! We will have an online tool available to book sessions (15Min. slots). The cable will also be a great alternave in the summer holidays, during the day, when the traffic on the water is high and the cables in the area are full. 9 newsleHer KAHAWAI watersports 2015 3. - 11. Same as last year, we will also be cooperang with Landgoed Hommelheide this year. Landgoed Hommelheide owns a private lake and has given us the exclusive right to use it for watersports. We offer: tubing, wakeboarding and wakeskang behind the jet ski. Acvies will be available from June to August on every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, if the weather is good. - 13. Liquid Force will be our main brand in 2015 and in addion, we will connue to sell Byerly and Ronix wakeboards. Also new in 2015: Jetpilot impact vests and some CWB boards and bindings. We will connue our partnership with Oakley and Daffy Boards. In our opinion the Hyperlite 2015 collecon was not as good as the other brands and therefore we decided to drop the brand for one season. - 14. BOAT There will be one new opon and that is pay per minute (1-‐10Min. 3€, 11-‐20Min. 2,50€, 21-‐last minute 2,00€; min. 5 minutes). This gives you the opportunity to ride as long as you feel like it. Of course, you can also book a regular set (20Min. at 49€ instead of 15Min. at 35€ last year) or charter the boat (per hour at 159€ or per half day at 600€; up to 10 passengers). For frequent riders, a 10-‐Session discount is available (450€). With this, the price per minute is even cheaper than last year on the old boat. If you choose to pay per minute, 10Min. are exactly as expensive as last year. Please note, that our prices include all equipment (basic wakeboard, bindings and wetsuit). 14 newsleHer KAHAWAI watersports 2015 5. PRICING
- 15. JET SKI / SPEEDBOAT As last year, 30Min. on the jet ski cost 69€, 60Min. 129€. If you have a boang license, you may take a passenger for free. If you don’t have a boang license, there will be an addional fee of 15€ per half hour for the instructor. In that case, you sll get to ride the jet ski yourself, the instructor will be sijng in the back. Speed boang is available for 30Min. (99€) or 60Min. - 16. CABLE / FUNBEACH PANHEEL A 15Min. set at the cable will cost 25€, this includes 1 on 1 coaching, all equipment necessary and you will be the only person on the water (no me sharing). If you come with four buddies, you can rent the cable for an hour at 100€ (25€ each) and share the me as you want (example each rider 2x 7,5Min.). In this sejng, 15Min. is about the same water me you get from a one hour pass at a big cable when its not crowded, but with a lot more hits on the obstacles, 1 on 1 coaching and without any wait, swimming or walking! - 17. HOMMELHEIDE Tubing at Hommelheide costs 10€ per 8Min. set and person (up to 3 persons per set). Wakeboarding and wakeskang is available for 20€ per 10Min. or – in connecon to a beginners course – for 35€ per person (75Min., 4 person minimum). Wakeboarding and wakeskang must be booked in advance (info@kahawai.nl or +31 685 457515). The new price sheet with all details (including equipment rental, banana boat and opons) will soon be uploaded to our homepage. - 18. If you are lucky, you might catch a set with three me rider of the year David Vervenne this season. He will be riding at KAHAWAI frequently and might do some coaching as well. Be prepared for some serious wakeboard acon! In addion, we are looking to be working with some internaonal workers again, nothing final yet. If you know anybody who loves wakeboarding, knows how to drive a boat, has a friendly personality and is free in the summer months, make sure that she / he gets in touch with us! 18 newsleHer KAHAWAI watersports 2015 6. - 19. This year, we will have the same awesome wake camps available as last year (Roermond, Norway, Portugal, Florida). The only difference is, that we will not have any dates fixed (except Roermond). If you would like to join a camp, just drop us a mail and we put you on a list, once we reach the minimum number of parcipants, we can set up a date together.
